It all gets too complicated eh?

Also backroom politics might start to get involved in the coming weeks. United most definitely don't want City or Liverpool winning the league.

Also the top 2 countries for UEFA co-efficient get an extra Champions League place, so 5th for PL. It might benefit Villa to put their all into EL rather than the league to maybe get a trophy but also bump the England co-efficient, which also makes Spurs season suddenly dry up as they'll be safe.

Nothing like a football conspiracy theory!

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice, Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.

Subs: Ramsdale, Partey, Gabriel Jesus, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Tomiyasu, Trossard, Vieira, Nelson, Elneny, Hein, Zinchenko.

Surprised kiwior is starting as thought it would be Toni against sane

This is the biggest game in Europe for us for quite some years, I might have to put the old Arsenal shirt on! Shame from a general football fan point of view the Man City v Madrid game is on at the same time.

We've got a chance here of putting this to bed at our gaff if we continue attacking like this.

We’re in a game now…fk sake

If you watch Saka’s goal again watch Eric Dier…he stood still and went in to the position to block the ball instead of actually trying to tackle Sake…let Saka take another step and was blocking the keeper’s view when Saka shot. Basically froze.

Sané is causing Kiwior all sorts of problems. We’re way too gung-ho at the moment.

Raya the wanderer… is he really an upgrade on Ramsdale? Both times bring so far away from the goal line caused us problems.

Too open and the defence is playing too high trying to force a goal, we'll get caught out again if we keep at it.
We just need to be patient how we have been in the league and let it come naturally.

The inexperience in the CL is showing as it has done against Porto.

Has Saka hurt himself kicking the goalie?

What??! How has VAR not looked at that?? That's a penalty all day long, it would have been easier to score than try and dive for a pen.

Wasn't a pen, Saka tried to instigate a pen.i don't know why he needed to do that, he should have just rounded the keeper and scored.

This. As an LFC fan I'm totally behind you winning tonight as want to see you go through to the the semi finals and have more games to play, but that's never a penalty in a million years.

Even AFTV thinks it's a dive having seen the replay FFS. Not sure why Saka is getting so wound up about it TBH as he know's exactly what he did.

You could even argue it's a foul on the keeper it was such a deliberate kick by Saka!

Definitely seen those given and lets face it, if that's Kane on any Raya up the other end, it's clever play and it'll be a penalty.

We had one of those games (like we had a string of in December), conceding 2 off 2 attempts and probably had the better of the game otherwise. Raya again wasn't good enough.

Ref wasn't really good enough although the right result probably sorted itself in the end.
