Jazzer really did take that 3rd goal well, if he’s not playing at the Euros it would be ridiculous.

MOTD didn’t analyse either of the penalty decisions. Very disappointing.

I don’t want to sound like a dick but did you think they would? I like Stephen Warnock but the other two on the panel tonight are complete idiots in my opinion, so not a big surprise to me.

I’d assumed it’d have been Lineker & Shearer.

I am really unsure how when an opposition player seems to stop you from clearing the ball it ends up as a penalty?

Phillips can't catch a break can he, he's done.

Well, at least Moyes actually attacked the game starting with our best front line up.

Better to go down fighting than surrender the game from the start.

With Alvarez playing I suspect we would have won that.

VAR is a fking joke though, we seem to get the wrong end of it every time.

It’s quite incredible what’s happened to him. Two passes leading to goals,at least two goals where he’s let someone brush past him,the penalty yesterday all of which “could” be attributed to not be up to speed, but how long can it take ??),and a sending off thrown in for good measure.
It doesn’t help that he’s not a natural deep lying fitting midfielder,so more than once he’s come on to play that role and been 10-15 yards further up the pitch at completely the wrong time.
Not sure how he turns it around.

For us, best option's to terminate the loan - it's been a complete disaster for both parties & hopefully yesterday was the last we'll ever see of him playing for WH.

He can't, best just head back to Manchester. We should recall Flynn Downes if we need reinforcements in that area.

I feel a bit sorry for him, he hadn’t played for ages at Citee and lost his edge. Now his confidence is shot to pieces. The penalty didn’t look like his fault tho imo. Gordon put his leg where it was likely to get kicked.

What the guy doesn’t need is some of our brain dead fans abusing him. The poor guy’s going through the mill and in all honesty needs returning to Citee but abusing him doesn’t help anyway. Embarrassing.

That's true, having seen Gordon's foul on Phillips I can't see how some imbecile at Stockley Park thought it was a penalty.

I’m not sure I can feel sorry for someone earning 100 odd grand a week but agree 100% with the sentiment in that post BC.

We do have our fair share of fans that don't appear to have two brain cells to rub together but I can also understand their frustrations and, to be honest, I could see this coming a mile off. He was a cast off from possibly the most elite coach/manager in the game and was coming to us - the writing was on the wall laugh

With regards to the video,it looks like that could be leaving the hotel rather than the ground, and the voices don’t sound like they come our neck.

Two wins in 14 domestic fixtures going into tonights game.

Only thing I'm confident of is that I'm not confident.

Yep, I haven't seen it in detail, I was in the garden and now to pissed off to bother watching. Imagine Shearer banging on about Newcastle on MTD tonight. But from that image it looks like Gordon is hooking Phillips's ankle. frown
It's surely a foul by Phillips both ends of the pitch. What’s occurred hasn’t changed. Gordon doesn’t ‘hook’ Phillips’ leg. Gordon puts his leg between the ball and Phillips’ angle of backswing … we’ve seen it lots of time in the Prem and in the area as well. KP is very unlucky as it all happens so quickly he doesn’t even realise Gordon’s leg is there and why is it there - he isn’t playing the ball. Very unlucky … but a foul both ends of the pitch for me.

Ends reversed & WH aren't getting a pen there.

Gordon made no attempt to play the ball whatsoever,if Phillips goes to shoot in the other penalty box it’s a nailed on penalty for a foul on him by stopping him pulling the trigger.
Either way,he should have put the ball in row z way before that happened.
The inconsistency in refereeing simply get worse each and every week.Three times in the first half we broke and got hauled over/pulled back, yet not a yellow in sight. One slight touch on the shoulder in the Burnley game results in a pen and a second yellow (another shocking decision). In the build up to our third, there was an attempt to hack Kudus down, which fortunately missed but also should have been a yellow.
VAR has put PL football an all time low.

As long as you have different people ie refs, making decisions, those contentious decisions will be made (for ever). But if VAR was scrapped, fans would still argue a penalty decision was wrong if their team is on the wrong end of it so what's the difference? Now there's VAR, they can watch it again and again and they still believe they've been wronged (or it was the right decision if at the other end) ...
