Terrible result and performance. Ange needs to ask himself some serious questions.
VDV getting pelters but I don’t blame him. Been excellent for us this season and it’s the way we play that leaves him exposed.
Far too many players hid today.
Teams know how to play us now. Everyone behind the ball then hoof it over the centre backs where there’s acres to run into. It’s really not difficult.
Isak is exactly what we need, I’d far rather buy him this summer than Tony.

Not as simple as that. Udogie lost the ball when he shouldn't have, Romero rushed in leaving loads of space which vdv tried to cover and over shot.Even his pace was found wanting for the third goal.
Porro played an inexplicable pass which vdv again tried to cover but Isak stepped inside him. He was out of position for the 3rd, with Romero nowhere to be seen either.
The underlying issue is that we don't take our chances. Whereas at the start of the season, we did. Werner scores either of his 2 chances or we just have a little more composure in the box and we're leading. Completely different game then.
I don't know what they do in training all day but it sure isn't shooting practise or defending set pieces.
Werner should not be offered a contract. Simply ineffectual in front of goal, regardless of his pace and the good runs he makes. Son needs to be playing left. Richarlison isn't the answer, regardless of his recent purple patch of bundling the ball in. We need a proper number 9 centre forward; Toney, Isak even Watkins. Someone who is going to get 20+ a season and convert all the chances we currently miss.
However, given the new recruitment structure, I expect Levy to focus on "exciting young talent for the future" who are always a couple of seasons away from being effective. Rather than simply going out and buying a 25-28 year old at their peak.

This is essentially the problem and I have been saying it for weeks. I am not going to call our defence good (Even though I think VDV is world class) as we have been shipping so many goals. But the problem is our forward line, we go forward and I don't think he comes a good effort. I'd also agree with Ascayman, Isaak is quality, you'd have him all day over Toney, but we have some homegrown player issues with our squad I think too.
