I think that describes the proposed brown envelope "luxury tax" idea they had, fine, no points deduction that'll learn them!
As said previously, the severity of points deduction is relative to league position. A 20 point deduction for the bottom 10 would see them relegated. But not for the top 10.A "luxury tax" potentially hurts more, if it is proportional to a club's income/transfer spend/wage bill. I can also understand why the other club's want "compensating". The things that will really hurt all clubs will be things like future transfer bans or wage bills/percentage aligned to the bottom club's income (or similar that has been mooted).
In Citeh's case, even relegating them to the Championship will only be a punishment for a single season. Limiting their spending for 5 years and annual independent auditing would have a far greater effect.
And take Chelsea with them, nice £75m spend on agency fees (https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68794902), and may have to turn down European competition https://talksport.com/football/1759385/chelsea-ban...
"Todd Boehly has spent over £1billion on transfer fees in the first two years of his ownership at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are only required to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR) as things stand.
Such a rule allows them to lose up to £105m over a three-year period, which ended on June 30 of last year.
Clubs in European competitions can be permitted to lose up to £68.5m for the 2024–25 monitoring period.
So, £68.5m over the previous two years, not £105m over the previous three years, if they win the Carabao Cup and qualify for the Europa Conference League next season.
It is likely that Chelsea will need to conduct player sales before the end of June 30 to be able to comply with UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules and ensure they are not sanctioned."

I see the City and Arse threads are mainly Liverpool and United fans having a pile on and no one else commenting. Can you imagine the hissy fits on their respective threads if that happened?
Bitters will always be bitter, notice how the two teams commenting are the biggest drama queen clubs on PH and yes, you are correct in that they like to give it but don't like to take it. Tbf Arsenal deserve all the abuse they get but imagine picking on City, a team that has no fans. That's tantamount to bullying.

Deluded
This is an odd thread. There seem to be more posts about other clubs than you're own, I just don't get it tbh.
Maybe all of the Spurs chat goes on in your secret forum section because you're special?*

- There are quite a few secret forum sections that are hidden from other posters. It's nothing special

And people say Liverpool fans lack self awareness Right, who had them in the betting? Not long odds unfortunately
I've said it before, 5th spot shouldn't get a CL spot. If we can't beat Villa to 4th, we don't deserve it.
Also we are going to need to bring in some serious reinforcements in the summer, we barely coped with just playing the league, imagine having to play on a Wednesday or Thursday night too.
