Bad luck gents , I though you were the better dude tbh , You really do struggle against set pieces , I'm no expert but you signed Ragu in January & he's about 6'5 & must be an asset defender corners etc , any thoughts on why Romero cannot play as a holding midfielder ? As you look so vulnerable at set pieces .
Not sure what game you watched then, clearly not this one.

Ragu is an accident waiting to happen. may get better once up to speed with the league.

Anyone else think that Maddison is turning into something of a weak link?

Whatever happened to him?
Great player when everything is going well, but when the chips are down he's one of the first to throw in the towel, only cares about himself and his brand.

5th looks likely, how would you rate that as a season?
i got pelters on here from the usual suspects for saying this and about his well known attitude issues when he was signed in the summer.

Hard to say how representative the first third of the season was. Suspensions, injuries and AFCON put paid to any further challenge. Looking forward to seeing Bergvall next season.
Bergvall is a baller but word is a loan to the championship till jan at least.

Was there seriously anyone who didn't know Maddison is a rough diamond?

I think Richie could make a half decent centre-back, maybe we should switch him and Romero for the last few games laugh

He would make himself known in the oppositions box that's for sure.

Really frustrating that. Arsenal are just too good to be giving a 3 goal head start. Credit where it’s due they’ve been the best team in the league this season and should go on to win the league so long as their bottle doesn’t go again.

Very odd game for us, starting with the line up. Don’t think we’ve ever tried that midfield combo before and seemed an odd first game to try it. Can’t believe he didn’t start Richie either, son is not a centre forward ange should know that by now.

Probably one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve seen as well, the kulu pen clearly should’ve been given and would have meant a different game. If that’s Saka he probably gives 2 pens. Even when rice kicks gentle Ben up in the air he tried not to give it… and 6 mins injury time? The time wasting from the goons was pathetic should have been at least 10.

We are probably about where we deserve to be. Our very good start gave us a false sense of security but the last few months has been a well needed reality check.

We've had very little luck with ref decisions, yesterday was only our second pen of the season but that's always the case for Spurs tbh so no surprises there.

As for Ange, I think he's done quite well for his first season in the PL although I don't get the massive hype either.

He's managed to move us away from the absolute awful football we had to put up with for 3 or 4 years which is great but we also have some glaring weaknesses which he needs to sovle of we want to progress further.

Set pieces, been happening all season. No idea why this hasn't been fixed or even acknowledged.

Susceptible to long balls. Some might argue this is part and parcel of Ange's system but it's far to easy for teams to hit us with the long ball which leaves is very vulnerable at the back.

Toothless front line. Decent if they have space but more and more teams will setup with a low block against us. We don't have a focal point, 3 of our regular forwards can't do that job and Richie isn't the answer either.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Ange can fix some of these issues next season and progress on from here.

Never understood why Gil wasn't put on loan to the Championship to toughen him up.

Knowing that club Arteta probably told him to nick his watch.

Ahhhh I have now seen the highlights. We really did gift wrap them that victory didn't we. Was at the game yesterday and the apparent difference was the turnover and break speed, which we just don't have at the moment. Also our press is almost non existent we have lost our energy, which I go back to my earlier post that to get the team playing the way he wants is going to take some fitness conditioning, even a 10% drop off would be really noticeable.

Oliver let a lot go yesterday too, I thought Kulu's was a penalty, he has no reason to go down there, and the only goal we didn't gift them was because half the time were still looking more at Oliver than what was on the pitch, as soon as the ball broke I knew it would be a goal, just had that air of inevitability about it. I think we do suffer a bit with Ange's white knight status of never criticising the officials, even though they have been poor, don't want him like Klopp the Classless but it seems to put us on the backfoot. Oliver didn't even want to give us the second penalty even though Davies was essentially on the end of a Kung Fu move 10 yards away from him.

The referee was terrible, you’re right were that to happen to certain clubs there would be uproar.

There should have been a pen on Romero too party clearly shoves him as he goes up for a header (that then hits the bar), very day before Chelsea have a goal ruled out for exactly that.

Can anybody explain what Richy did after we the pen to make it 3-2. As far as I can tell, straight from kick off he just runs straight into the centre back and knocked him over?

I have no allegiance in this game but I did watch it

Spurs had more possession, more shots & more corners , Arsenal did have more fouls though.

Teams can often be the better team & lose , I'm guessing you are an Arsenal fan ?

Mantis turns up twice a year, gets absolutely everything wrong makes stuff up then disappears for another 6 months.

I’d saying having an opinion opposite to him means you’re most likely correct.

I think Ange's days are numbered. I think he's lost the players.
I also think his "public persona" isn't playing well with potential investors and partners. The gruff mumbling whilst staring at his shoes is wearing thin. He's one of the main faces of the club business!
Contrast with the charisma and eloquence (not all always applicable) of Pep, Klopp, Arteta, Emery.
