It's early days in the new thread and the promise of a better future is ringing through our fingers and into our keyboards.

How about van de Baek from Man U?

Sorry to post text from the Daily Mail but:

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg rushed to the aid of a collapsed man outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night as the midfielder was confronted with another distressing health drama.
The 26-year-old Spurs midfielder — who was playing for Denmark when his team-mate Christian Eriksen suffered his harrowing collapse at Euro 2020 — was praised by worried onlookers in the moments following the 3-0 defeat by , racing out of his car to offer his help to the stricken individual on the perimeter of Tottenham’s home ground.
Having played the full 90 minutes against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, whose emphatic victory cost Nuno Espirito Santo his job, Hojbjerg encountered the upsetting episode as he drove out of the stadium and stopped after seeing the man.
Onlookers complimented Hojbjerg for remaining at the scene and hailed him as a ‘hero’ — but Hojbjerg is understood to have played down his role, insisting he was simply doing what anyone else would do.
The London Ambulance Service was called to the incident but an emergency vehicle was not required as there was already one on site.
The man was treated by medical staff before being transferred to nearby North Middlesex Hospital.

Top 10 teams in the world ? The Spurs are hardly top 10 in England:

But that's it isn't it ?

Spursies gone wild. After spending decades in the murky depths of European football, all of a sudden with a bit of money they suddenly think they're a bit special. With other peoples money no less.

Holding up your hand in the EPL might get you enough TV rights money to buy oneself a shiney stadium (with a more than substantial mortgage) and an Italian manager (who earns way too much and is gone in 18 months). Spurs management are clearly (too?) eager to keep the Spurs near the CL positions.

But top ten in the world takes either a bit more money or football pedigree:

Since you only ever troll the big clubs threads, posting here saying Spurs is not a big club is an ironic self fulfilling prophecy.

Frankly Ajax have been a feeder club for Europe's true big clubs for the last...well...forever actually.

You'll notice that their invite to the Super League went missing in the post.

It's an amazing achievement to qualify for the CL when you play in such an equitable domestic league yes

Would that be 4 months longer than Koeman? Who, it seems, is in disagreement with Barcelona for asking for too much as his arse gets booted out the door?

I think he'll put out a very strong team, the bloke just oozes ' i mean business'. I also reckon this guy will remember he can actually make substitutions

Is he the sort to sit Kane on the bench until he commits?

No he's the sort that will pin kane up against the dressing room wall tell him to stop being a and tell him to prove himself to be what we all know he is, the best striker in the world.

Not sure of this suggested lineup, no place for Emerson Royal?

Wing backs Sergio Reguilon on the left, with Matt Doherty on the right

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso in the middle

If the rumours are to be believed, when he was "just watching and definitely not working due to not having a work visa" training yesterday, he had them in an 11 a side drilling a 3-5-2 formation. Seems like he's not hanging about to make changes. I think he's going to set the bar very high and I don't think the players are fit enough to play the way he wants at the moment. We could see a lot of injuries in the next few months. Will be good if he can sort the problems out though. We've just signed literally the best manager available in the world right now. If you can't be excited about that there's no point being a football fan.
