Great result Sunday, even though its a non result at this stage!

Not going Saturday but have Man U and Newcastle tickets. Christ knows why.
Chelsea aren't what they were, especially this season. Better than a loss, but more points are always needed.

Difficult to know what sort of result to expect in any game smile

Struggling to get tickets now to the end of the season...will just look forward to some Championship games next year.

And then we start next season 2pts down. The state of financial regulation in English football is risible. Teams shouldn't be allowed to bugger about as the impact on those teams getting relegated/not getting promoted etc are huge.

State of football finance in general needs to change. Money has and always will slowly ruin the game.

Given it was stated yesterday that we missed some of those payments because we were waiting for other late payments ourselves, then those clubs shall receive -2 points aswell? Might be a few in the bottom 3 with us before kick off. hehe

Can’t even have a single week of just being a normal club can we? Just as most fans were basking in the warm afterglow of not going to pieces in a home game and getting an unexpected result they go and pull this stunt laugh

The worst part about it all is the biggest breach was for a payment on Rhian effing Brewster. There’s some stiff competition but he has to go down as the worst transfer in our history.

It could only be a payment from Arsenal for Ramsdale, imagine how sweet it would be if they missed out on the title due to a 2pt deduction for missing that payment.

If our season is going to be a disaster I’ll settle for ruining someone else’s instead laugh

Could also be Derby for Hourihane

Agreed on Brewster.

Comedic defending, only without a punchline that makes it remotely funny.

Embarrassing.

On current performance, if we could even persuade them to stay, I'd keep Hamer, Brereton Diaz, Archer and McAtee. Bogle and Norwood could stay if I was feeling charitable.

The rest can all FRO. Including and especially Wilder and the hapless owners.

Especially bloody Grbic. Christ, he is useless.

Going to OT tomorrow and Newcastle on Saturday, might aswell tick a few grounds off I’ve not been to this season cos the football isn’t worth bothering with! Roll on next season. Rip it up and start again.

Wes' problem was following Ramsdale and Henderson.

Grbic is just st. A bigger liability than Pickford, which is saying something.

Wishing you good luck for this evening. A win against Manure would be a great confidence boost.

He’s a professional footballer. So he’s better than all us normo’s. Including you or you’d be in the sticks and not on here. hehe

I’ve never really got this ‘he’s st’ blanket statement stuff. He’s not, he’s in the minuscule percentage of people that made it as pro footballers, that’s hard.

He’s just playing badly right now.

He is st. He has not done anything to suggest he should be a professional footballer in the 9 games I have seen him in. Playing badly right now is allowable for 2 or 3 games, maybe even 5 if not played in a while. But 9? That's not a short term blip.

In a terrible team. With a fragile defence playing in front of him. Ramsdale went through a longer patch of poor form…. He must be st too. wink

ManUtd had a load of chances that WF saved. We'll never know what the scoreline would have been with Grbic in goal wink

And I don't revere WF btw... He wanted out. We should have let him go rather than the dicking about (as much as I think today's players are over indulged).

Big squad and mgmt clear out required. I struggle to believe defending like we've been doing cannot be coached out of players. The club's a mess and I think we're going to struggle next season (especially if/when the better players leave). We'd have been nowhere near the top 6 in the Championship this year.

Agree Murph. It would have been over long before it was if Grbic was starting, again made some brilliant saves WF. Nobody mentioned Wes was a God, but he is a damn sight better than t'other chap.

Also agree club is a mess, as mentioned before - rip it up and start again. Very very slim chance of getting promoted next season so build on what we have. Recruitment has been dire (Traore, Souza, et al).

Same recruitment team found Ahmehodzic, got Doyle and McAtee in on loan etc etc but yeh pick a couple of duds and it's dire.

We did a rush-job on Grbic because Wes didn't want to sign a contract. Just playing badly currenlty (in a terrible team) doesn't make him st as suggested though does it. That's the point. Finding scapegoats because of the crap situation doesn't make a difference one bit.

Whether Wes made some good saves or not, wether Grbic would have made the same saves or not is pure guesswork. We will never know how good OR bad it would have been had Grbic started. Could have been 0-1 with Grbic having a worldie.

I've been at this for 36 seasons now. We're a tier-2 sized club that has occassional flirts with a league up and a league down. Always worth remembering that despite being bottom, just remember where we came from. biggrin

You sure you're not a Wednesdayite?

On what planet does Grbic save any of them that Wes saved? He is shocking in all departments and you've nothing to support otherwise. 8.5 games is more than enough chance to prove some worth and he looks like he wouldn't get a game in any team in the league below.

You keep mentioning the terrible team in front of him, which it is, but that doesn't change the fact he cannot kick properly or is a shot stopper or commands his area.

Agree with the final paragraph though, 2nd tier club. Roll on August.
