Well any chance we had of staying up this season pretty much just walked out of the door to Marseille - Ndiaye gone.

Let's hope Jebbison and Osula get some shooting boots before the season starts...this could be a very dry season goal-wise even by Blades' standards.

Not holding out any hope for us this season. Just haven’t got the spark of previous premiership runs.

There was little to no hope before we lost Ndiaye and the loanees. Once they were gone....

Heckinbottom is playing as he needs to play with the squad he has. It's negative against the bigger teams, but needs must.

Losing these games by a goal is sickening though. I hope he was furious with them for shipping 2 goals in the last two minutes at the weekend. And a point against City would have been very sweet.

Really difficult to see where points are going to come from. 6 against Luton are a must. Ditto Burnley, but don't see that happening. Think we're scrapping with Luton for 20th place and the lowest every Prem' points tally tbh.

Never mind. My expectations were incredibly low. To get any better, the ownership situation needs sorting. We have all the downsides of Saudi ownership with none of the upsides.

Didn't realise there was a blades thread.

I went Saturday as I always do. Sickening.

Agree, I don't see where the next point is going to come from.

It's a quiet thread... We're very much a locals team (despite me now living 200 miles away).

The coverage we in the media is pitiful. Basically everyone has us dead certs to go down because of lack of investment. I guess there little else to say smile

Glad McBurnie's out for a few games. Not a fan of his at all. He needs replacing.

Embarrassing.

First ever match I went to was against Newcastle. Looks like it’s the opposite result today I had back then.

Utter garbage performance. Nothing.

Not a lot to say about that, we left after the 4th. Would be VERY surprised if they sack Hecky though, cannot see it at all.

Posts on other threads suggest he is a certainty but I think its different at the Lane.

As mentioned previously, I don't know where the next point will come from - maybe November? (Wolves at home)

PHeck is not the issue. Sacking him will achieve nothing.

I doubt even Big Sam could keep this squad up.

I suspect Luton are in the same boat.

Burnley are the ones that don't look like they need to be...but they need to change tactics to suit their opposition. And Kompany looks too stubborn for that.

Luton might conceivably be a chance for a win. But they'll be thinking the same. There are slimmer possibilities of a few other draws before the end of the year.

Still, expectations were low. The performances in the next couple of games will be key. Drubbings happen. But they need to be isolated.

Nope. Try again next week.

(can't see us getting anything there either.) FWIW I think if we end up on 1 points at the end of the season, we still don't sack Hecky. He is the best man for the job in the Champ and deserves a full season in the top flight, AND I don't like the mentality of burning through 6+ managers a season.

Thank god for that. I honestly thought it was going to be a winless season.

First trip up this season with my two boys today! To say the Kop and Family Corner went nuts would be an understatement!!

The ref had a stinker the whole game IMO. Up until that penalty everything had been given Wolves' way.

Second half we were good for a win, and Archer's goal was well taken.

It all went very quiet when they equalised though. Had the typical look of a game they would nick at the death biggrin

Despite a lot of possession/press in the second half, there's no sign of end product. And my thought in the first half were that the team just aren't fit enough. They were so far off the pace and ill prepared to push constantly I felt like I could run better! Brewster particularly looked like he was running through treacle. Costa not much different.

But a win it is biggrin

Next target...12pts smile

(Bournemouth and Burnley coming up in the next month. MASSIVE games).

Calling in to see if any updates. Bleak would be an understatement.

Can't see us getting anything against a struggling Burnley side.

I must confess although I did pot a couple of month ago saying don't sack Hecky, I am swaying now - nothing personal against him, just think a change would be good. I mean whats the worst that can happen?

I also can see us getting beat by Burnley.

Needed to beat Bournemouth and were dire instead. Foderingham had a stinker (we should see if Arsenal fancy loaning us Ramsdale!).

A change is definitely needed. But I'm not sure it will do any good as the change that is really needed is a change in ownership and players in Jan.

I liked Wilder for much of his time at the club, but did not like the way he left.

Get Warnock back smile

(I doubt we could afford Big Sam).
