I do hope you enjoyed the West Ham celebrations after all it’s why we love football, follow our clubs and try and predict the game! I don’t think any of us lace up boots very often anymore. Names like Hammer67 don’t exactly scream 5 a side on Wednesdays and Sunday league.

It was amazing, first trophy we’ve won in my lifetime and made up for the FA Cup final disappointment back in 2006. Sadly I couldn’t get a ticket but was out in Prague. And, yep, I “retired” quite a few years ago and now all I play is 5 a side and, very occasionally, as a ringer for a Sunday league team

The only boots I lace up are thigh high. I retired from Sunday League mid 90s. 5 a side? maybe for the odd pub quiz.

I`ve heard a story that, whilst quite possibly bks, 5 WH fans obtained some BT Sport Media bibs, went to Prague, put them on and got shooed straight into the stadium with zero checks.

I'll post the first fixtures nearer the season start date...maybe a fortnight beforehand together with the deadline for your predictions.

Newbies have until the 21st July to register to play and even then we can only admit 1 more newbie so it's next-come next-served. Should somebody register then it's unfortunately Ronstein who's relegation is confirmed as he came 3rd from bottom last season.

If nobody new registers we have our 20 for next season (including Ronstein)!

Ronstein: Check in after the 21st July to confirm that you've squeezed into next seasons 'thon and try harder next season to avoid this situation happening again

Sadly Ronstein with Fluid now registering to play it means that you are unfortunately relegated this season. On the plus side you get the very first refusal to rejoin in 24/25 as you have an exemplary posting record and came 3rd from bottom this season.

Nope, simply asking to play on here is enough - I have enough DM's from 'thoners asking for tips on how to win this thing as it is...

The simplest route is to actually run the thing, obvs!

Please read the rules on page 1 very carefully to hit the ground running, especially regarding the first weeks forecasts. You'll need to keep up to date with the thread once the season starts for mid-week and rearranged matches. Please remember, edited posts are not allowed, once you hit the 'submit' button that's it - there's no going back.

The ethos of this thread is that club allegiances are left at the door as you enter so that it doesn't descend into a slagging match in here.
