Captain choice this week is a nightmare. Son, Salah,Palmer, Haaland. Even Foden.

Thinking Son at the mo.

Haaland vs Son for me.

Bit wary of the CL fixture for City next week though..

Re Captain choice, I’ve gone with Isak as Fulham have been shipping goals recently.

Watch that no doubt backfire, spectacularly flames

Saka out for Foden? The 'hot hand fallacy' in full effect!
Have you ever heard the phrase ‘Pep roulette’?
Enjoy!!

I nearly rolled my FT but saw the news on Foden and did a quick Saka —> Havertz swap to make sure I had a full midfield

Captain on Haaland.

Went for Haaland. 1 return and 2 BPS so will take that. Problem is so did my mini league rival!

Better than a kick in the bks.

Depends on how Son, Palmer and Salah fair I guess!

There are no winners here biggrin

Salah, Palmer & Haaland all have over 100% EO.

Which is doubly frustrating as I own all three of them....

Sold Saka this week for Foden. My bench has nearly 20 points, but Solanke is first sub and managed 2 points.

68 points for me - an almost bang average week was rendered slightly better by the auto sub of Foden (nil points) for Porro (11 points). All my defenders and midfielders returned, nothing from the keeper (Kelleher) or the forwards (Jackson and Solanke). Still not great, but better than it could have been.

My plan now is to roll the dice and go against the template strategy and WC this week to then BB in 34. I'd then FH in 37 per the template. I only have one mini league that I am anywhere near having a chance of winning, and I can't beat my best ever points total, so just going to have a bit of fun in the remaining rounds.

Very bang average for me - 59, just three above the week's average.

Everyone gained points for me although four of them scored just one point and that was three defenders + a keeper. Seems to be very few clean sheets about at the moment, hard to pick a decent back line.

Haaland (c) and Watkins did well + assists for four other players, just the point that you can't climb your leagues when your defence rarely, if at all, contributes.

I guess like all things in FPL - "it depends". The days of "big at the back" templates are long past and most of the pros are only playing 3 at the back so that they can play 5 in midfield as that's where the majority of the hauls are coming from this season. And the defenders they do pick are chosen based on attacking threat rather than clean sheet potential because the clean sheets have been less forecastable this season.

Happy with 75 this week. Plus unless anyone gets injured in Europe, I don’t need to buy anyone as I’m actually happy with my team for the coming week.

I think that might be the first time this season I can say that!

Only 57 points for me this gameweek. Plus I'm also regretting getting rid of Watkins now. Brought Isak in, and he predictably did nothing now that I own him.

That's a fair point actually, thanks! I'm usually a 3-4-3 person but it's been difficult settling on strikers; apart from Watkins I've been struggling to pick strikers. Have dropped Haaland & Darwin previously (have them both now), Solanke and Toney have been flashy - maybe I would be better off playing 3-5-2 and getting De Bruyne back in again.

A record 2 points from 4 defenders and 1 goalkeeper rofl

79 points in total thanks mainly to Haaland/Palmer/Gordon
