he still won the whole thing.
I suppose that's one way of looking at it.There was very clearly a toxic atmosphere in that camp which makes it all the more amazing that they managed to win the thing. It's no real surprise that he has gone with his chief protector sidelined.

I'm sure you already know the manager has more than a little influence in that. That he/they did it with a load of players unavailable due to being ineligible speaks volumes.
Good to know we have a dressing-room insider on the thread.https://www.goal.com/en/news/explained-spain-women...

Both statements are fact. It might be worth you reading up on the last couple of years of the Spanish team (it's everywhere in the news) then have a look at what a team looks like with a poor manager.

If you didn't write things like 'He won the whole world cup' we wouldn't have to debate how good or otherwise he was or why 15 players refused to play for him and the whole team won't play while his mate's around. Or why the whole coaching staff other than him resigned.https://www.goal.com/en/news/explained-spain-women...
Maybe the players will come out with a statement saying what a great coach he is.

He did win the whole thing - as a manager, managing a depleted squad. You've yet to explain why he should have resigned; to support a revolution at his own detriment? Unless he was in some way misogynistic or abusive, and that hasn't come out, then the players need to accept his management style while it gleans results (like the World Cup). That, or detail what he actually did wrong.Maybe the players will come out with a statement saying what a great coach he is.
To be honest, he's best off out of it - it all seems very cut-throat currently.
