How about Brian Potter from Phoenix Nights as manager?

He knows how to rebuild a club after being destroyed by local rivals. wink

Glen Hoddle, is a great coach, bring on the younger players and has excellent contacts in the game.
He is respected, and apart from his total gaff about certain unfortunate people, generally well liked.
Doesn't look like Mackay can manage till his legal issues with Cardiff are resolved so for me Hoddle, DiMatteo or Zola.
I hope it's not Pearce, I not too sure he has the experience yet and I don't want him to loose his hero status.

When Charlton scored, I have never seen so many people get up and leave - me included. Ten minutes to go and the place just emptied.

I'm now crying into a pint in the TBI.

The back of the Trent End about 5 minutes after Charlton scored.

I miss the Trent Bridge, but dinner on the beach in Marbella makes up for it!
Sounded like another woeful performance.

Real opportunity missed with Reading, Wigan and the sheep all losing.
That was a must win game.
We do not deserve to get to the play offs.

I got up then sat back down, wish I had left tbh. Not heard boos like that for a long time.

All I got to see was Jara and Mackie squaring up to each other.(Jara was woeful tonight)

The best thing about tonight was my sweaty chicken balti pie hehe

So it's Zola or Hoddle for the job then. Both decent managers.

Does anyone know if Fawaz actually reads the fans forum on the official site?

The only way that the appointment of Glen makes any sense, is if we view it that he is being punished in this life, for sins he committed in a previous life.

Zola would be a good choice, possibly.

Why are so many people turning this job down? What on earth is Fawaz saying to them to put them off?
