So if the speculation is true about Pearce coming in at the beginning of next season does this mean that this season has been written off? If so then surely this is a perfect time for the players to play without any "real" pressure & going out there to prove a point! If they feel that the pressure is off, you may find us climbing back up the table.

Rumours are actually that talks will resume tomorrow with a view of him being revealed at Millwall. God knows any more.

Nottingham Post quotes McGovern that he will sign tomorrow.
Never believe anything they say though !
Coming round to the idea of Psycho at the helm, but we need a strong CEO also.
Maybe we can get Bamford back from Chelski and off Direby!

Daniel Taylor, Guardian football writer tweeted this Earlier:

"Brief chat with Stuart Pearce here in Paris. Definitely going to be end of season, rather than starting now # nffc"

In which case what's the point with signing him so soon? I'm sure if we delay appointing until the summer we'd have many more options, and probably of a better quality.

I hope he proves me wrong, but I don't see Psycho as the man to take us up and keep us up.

I agree with this. As much as I would welcome Pearce I can't help but think about how many decent managers may become available at the end of the season etc.

I agree to a degree, But who would actually come to us? Some of the names being banded about were daft with handsight. RDM won the champions league, Clarke/Mckay are happy with their payoffs and will get a Prem side without too much hassle. Some of the managers that have got promotion in recent memory aren't tactical geniuses.

Anyway, Sky Sports News at 12.30, Psycho being announced.

Can you think of anyone better to get the team/fans fired up for the last 7 games?

Made a good few points.

- Knows a few players from U21s

- Wants to use the academy

- Starting In July because of his commitments to Press work for the world cup

- Forest had the biggest pull of any club in the country

- BUT He won't name his staff as they are currently still in employment...???!!! Nigel?

It'll be interesting to see how gets on, can't say i rate him as a manager (so far) despite his class as a player.

Fully behind Psycho, at least we know he will be committed toward our great club rather than for himself!

It is quite a nice touch that he felt he couldn't let down his commercial commitments to take over before the World Cup. Shows a touch of loyalty sadly missing from the game nowadays.

He's an old school football man who hasn't forgotten his roots.

Hope he does well .

I also love the fact he still goes to see bands that were around 30 odd years ago, he went to see the Revillo's last week, top man
