Cox & Mackie of to Reading. Thought Mackie may have featured this season but not Cox. I am not that bothered about seeing players like this depart the club as we have bought in a number of "better" players so I fully support the decision to sell certain players.

I haven't been all over twitter unfortunately! Oh well, not too fussed about Cox going. I still think Mackie could have contributed though.

I like these deals though - shows Fawaz is at least reinvesting in the club and not doing a Karl Oyston on us!!

Can Forest cope with having a prolific goal scorer in the side? Feels at odds with everything I've known in recent years...

Exactly, think I'll have to buy a programme on Saturday to get to grips with the new names and squad numbers!

It does feel weird not having 8 naff strikers, but knowing our luck we'll destroy his career like we do most strikers...

The other thing to remember about Assombalonga is the transfer fee. 5 million rising to 8 if certain criteria is met (another words if he appears so many times or how many goals he scores)
So without question SP will be told not to play him for certain games & if he does start scoring loads of goals the likelyhood of him being dropped will increase because the club will not want to pay out 8 million. Just my feelings on the situation.

Spoken like a true Forest fan!

We've just spent a fortune on a player who scored 30+ goals last season and the opionon of our club is we won't play him in case he scores too many goals.

Just read that we won't be having to pay any of KD and JL wages this season either, that's a bonus.
