Not bad singings in my opinion. Mills should give us that bit of bite we always seem to lack in defense and Ward is good if he can stay fit, just not sure about the wisdom of a 4 year contact!

So we can pay him less than £10k per week but he earns a similar (to a 2 or 3 yr contract) over the course of the contract.

So... Back to church on Saturday with a friendly against the Swans. Anyone else bothering?

£15 for a friendly? I'm sure it was only £6 or so when we played Ajax a few summers ago.

A season of midtable mediocrity awaits? Or is anyone more optimistic?

I rarely watch any football until September, when I start coaching again.

Anyway - automatic promotion and in the final of the FA Cup.

Ben hamer has joined you on a season long loan. Very good for you guys i think. In my opinion he didn't put a foot wrong in the games he played (apart from a howler or 2 pre-season last year) but for whatever reason pearson preferred schwarzer over hamer. Would rather it was the other way round but never mind.

The lad also wants first team football so cannot blame him for going out on loan either really.

He nearly ran me over in the Main Stand car park on saturday in his black Range! hehe

The game wasn't that great, First half was dire but got better in the second when the tempo improved.

Maynard looked decent.

It's not gone down well with the Police apparently. I can say I'd want to Police a big local Derby and the City Centre on the same night!

ETA: Just seen this on Twitter:

"We understand that former FA Club England MD Adrian Bevington is to join #nffc - initially on consultancy basis."

Think you've got Brentford too low there.
