A real bonus that Charlie is in the squad biggrin
You're not wrong !

Don't think anyone could say we didn't deserve that - a solid performance all round and pleasing to see Clasie finally starting to show what Koeman knew he was capable of.

Very pleased for Austin. That's a big chunk of the £4m transfer paid back right there biggrin

Deserving of a celebratory pint, I reckon.. cool

Fantastic debut, great result and well deserved. Long worked his socks off and the defence was solid. Superb! COYR!

Absolute fairytale! Unreal. I was jumping around my living room like a child when the goal went in! :-)

That went well. I miss being in school, surrounded by plastic glory hunters though!

Needed to pop in to say Well Done Saints again and well done Ronald!! 2 away wins at Old Trafford is a great record and we next have Arsenal away which will be tough, but we're a good team!

Just back from Old Trafford.
What a performance and what a result.
Forget how p!ss poor ManUre were we were superb.

As for Austin, someone needs to call the Met Police as there has been a HUGE theft from London laugh

Anyone heard or read a word about how well we played and how Ronald got his tactics spot on?

No, only how badly Utd played etc. Standard procedure. We were 5th on MOTD I think, but if Utd had won it would have been 2nd or something.

Indeed, it's never Saints playing well against the bigger clubs is it?

The lady I work with has informed me this morning that Austin is her cousin's son. Lovely lad when he was younger but now he's an ahole. As long as he bangs in the goals for Saints, I informed her I am not concerned smile

More than happy for Saints to go quietly under the radar, although it does become a struggle at times to stay away for the last 3 minutes of MoTD.

I think the radar extends further than Match of the Day laugh

Four points from Arsenal then. Very good. Forster was immense and I liked Wanyama and Romeu in midfield. Pity Mané is still paying poorly otherwise it could have been a win. Another clean sheet.

Fortunate to get the draw from what I've heard, but yeah, 4 points and 4 goals with none conceded against ahole? I'll take that, thanks.

Anyone see Vardy's goal? Looks like Liverpool chatted st, and got banged.....

A good point at Arsenal and we might have ridden our luck a little, but Fraser was an amazing signing. I remember Shilton saving us 10 points a season and Fraser might be the same.

If we could beat West Ham, I think we'd be in a very good place and looking up and not down the table

Saints hung in there for three points (never a red card). Happy days!

3 points, 5 clean sheets for Fraser and the defence and 7th position in the league. Not bad really given our dodgy patch

I hope we appeal the red card for Wanyama because that was never a sending off (no surprise it was Clattenburg that gave it either!). Byram's tackle on Bertrand was actually much worse.

An early goal, a very welcome 3 points, and FF extends his run of clean sheets.

Not a vintage performance by any stretch, but some superb & resolute defending made it very tough for West Ham to trouble Forster as much as I thought they might - had almost resigned myself to Carroll coming on and sneaking a late headed goal.

Wanyama deserves a serious rocket for yet another reckless (and needless) challenge - harsh decision or not (although he was lucky not to have been booked before that tackle), that's his 3rd red this season. Not good enough, IMO.

Van Dijk MoTM for me - what a buy he's been, simply immense.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Sky commentators could get our players' names right. David Pleat has always been a moron but the other chap was getting names wrong too...not just once either.

And what was Wanyama thinking?? I'm all for tough challenges but fk sake, that was just pointless! Again!

It was however a great result and I'm so pleased we got the 3 points. The last 25 mins was torture, my nerves could barely take it but the defending was brilliant and Forster is a hero.

And, I'm the first to criticise Yoshida but didn't he play well!
