I heard that the Beef Cattle Association were thinking of using it as the main show ground for the Bull of The Year competition....
Why not? They had 11 donkeys on the pitch on Sunday.
A circus too no doubt!

Nothing sexy and not a great game, but a point, clean sheet and top of the group can't be all bad.

Never seem to play well when we set up with the midfield diamond, so happy with a point.

Martina had a shocker and Classie was poor as ever.

We were lucky they were crap, as our defence was wide open!

Not a great game but a point away in Europe is not a bad thing.
Fantastic couple of days. My wallet and my liver are suffering laugh

Let's hope we play a bit better tomorrow. Otherwise we are going to get destroyed.

Could do without this Black situation as well.

Pleased with an away point just a few days after a long trip and 6 games without losing. Think it's also 4 consecutive clean sheets. We do need to score a few more though!!

Isn't it 6 on the spin without conceding ?

If you'd offered a point away at Leicester before the game, I'd have probably taken it. In hindsight, we were the better side for the majority of that game and only really let ourselves down through poor finishing (again) which, ultimately, cost us the win.

Romeu was very impressive yesterday - MoTM by some margin for me.

Interesting stat; We're in the same position after the same number of games as last season. 9points - won 2, lost 2, drew 3 and a goal difference of 1. Only difference is we've scored less, but conceded less too.

Food for thought for the doom and gloomers who reckon Puel's no good. He's achieved what RK did, despite not having a previous season to draw experience from, nor any PL experience, and he's lost the two most-likely goalscorers in the process.

And then, add to that Boufal (who's immense, really - £40m + player in a couple of years, no doubt for Liverpool rolleyes ) and JRod to come back (again, though he was just starting to get back into his stride before the groin went) and it's looking good so far. Very good. Got every chance of 6th-8th again if we keep this up, though personally this is the season I'd really love a cup run. Done well so far, and Puel's utilising the squad much better than RK did. If he carries on with Hesketh, it'll be like having a fresh signing! Happy days I think smile

As for weekend, bore draws are hard to get excited about, but Leicester are a decent team, despite the jokes. I'd take that, and it's another clean sheet.

Only concern is that even though Austin's up and running, the others don't look like they're going to be banging them in all that often. Christ, if JWP finds the net you know the rest of the team aren't hitting the target laugh

I travelled to Leicester happy to pick up an away point but was really disappointed we did not take all three.
We were better all over the pitch and really do need to start taking our chances.
There are times when strikers don't produce. When this happens you need your midfield to step up. Trouble is our midfield do not have goals in them !
Looking forward to a couple of weeks with no football before the madness starts all over again laugh

When you have the oppositions manager saying we deserved to win, we must be playing good football!

We've played pretty well in every game since the beginning of the season, in fairness, even the ones we've lost. It was only against Beard Shaver that we couldn't figure out a way round them and looked a bit basic, but the squad there weren't at full strength.

Great win today but same old story, not converting enough of our chances!! Against better opposition this will be a problem. Although to be fair I'd rather we create loads and score a few than not create any.

However, it was a good performance second half, Redmond played the best I've seen him yet and good to see him score. McQueen looked great but difficult to judge fully against poor opposition. Romeu fantastic again.

Claude, can you please concentrate on some shooting practice in training!!

there does seem to be reluctance to take the last shot, but still a solid performance.

No matter who the manager or players we have, this has been the Saints for as long as I can remember!

A very straightforward 3 points on Saturday.
I doubt you will see 3 worse teams than Burnley this season.
Off to Milan tomorrow night.
Bring on the San Siro woohoo
