Feels like the Keegan approach of “we’ll score more than you “ applies at times
Good win
Ridiculous against such poor opposition though. Should have been out of sight at half time. The fact we let them back in was shambolic. Good that we got the win, not that it means much now. Just got to hope we've got enough to get through the playoffs.Good win

It seems that we get to play four games before current league leaders Ipswich play their next game (as they are the evening kickoff Saturday next) plus we have 'six pointers' against Leicester and Leeds, so still everything to play for in the last 3 weeks of the season.
I've resigned to playoffs. I don't think we'll go up, sadly, but we can hope! Truckosaurus said:
Indeed. I don't have any faith that if we miss out this year that we'll be as strong next season, so might be hanging out in the Championship for a while.
It's playing out exactly as it did last time we went down. At least we can't lose in the playoffs on away goals any more. The jiffle king said:
A good win last night but I think it's a leap to think we will get automatic promotion given 2 very tough away games
Got to keep winning to be in with a chance
Regards

Very much make or break. If we win them we absolutely can be in with a chance, draws or defeats.... No. Plus, our goal difference does go against us. Got to keep winning to be in with a chance

Didn’t we lose to Derby on penalties? Or is my memory playing tricks on me ribiero said:
That Billy Davies Derby team was anti-football and if I remember had the least points (at that time) over a season in the prem the following season.
Almost a waste of a promotion imo. I think a lot of our fanbase dont remember that far back.
At one point they looked incapable of getting into double figures. I think they just scraped it.Almost a waste of a promotion imo. I think a lot of our fanbase dont remember that far back.
Was there last night-great to watch.
Bazunu was injured (badly now it appears) in the warm up. Just wondering if McCarthy in goal will affect the performance/style of play against stiffer opposition than PNE were in the 4 games left.
Really want them to go up, not least because a 'mature' season ticket holder mate of mine has a wager with his adult sons, of a tattoo if Saints go up. He really is the last person you'd think of to have one.

I think it becomes a 3 horse race now, you seem very similar to us under Rodgers and actually similar to us now with Enzo. Injury to Armstrong could be massive for the play offs, I think you'll struggle!
Any time I watch you that Smallbone is dreadful, how's he even get minutes?
A very good question!Any time I watch you that Smallbone is dreadful, how's he even get minutes?
Every time, from the very first time he played, I have thought "what a waste of a place". It is not like we do not have much better alternatives, either.
