I haven't seen anything on the West Ham loss. Anyone know where it all went wrong?

I've been to Upton Park a couple of times to watch Saints before they were relegated from the Premiership last time and they always lost then.
70% possession and 25 shots implies we did ok. I think it was a case of poor finishing and some lazy defending. Bring back Loveren.

^^ agree.

We get caught on the break too much and don't score enough. Should have been out of sight in first half hour.

Played pretty well but 0-3 seemed harsh (blatant penalty though). I guess that's what happens if you don't take the chances to score and the other team does.

If Lallana's effort had gone in rather than hit the post it might have been a different game. As it was. I never felt we were in the match after the first half to be honest.

Missed out on blatant penalty there. Only saw MOTD highlights but being they always give preference to the bigger teams we didn't come across badly. Smashed them on possession too, which is worrying....we're playing well and still losing. Other teams have sussed us out. Bugger.

fking hate half the Liverpool team too, which doesn't help. Don't know the other half.

Bugger. Don't hate them as much as Chelsea though so they better go on and win it unless ahole can get back there.

I'm all booey now.

It was never a 3-0 game, that lot always seem to get the rub of the green, first goal lucky rebound in front of Sewerez, then Adam Bannana hits the post a few minutes later, was kinda hoping for Saints to do us a favour, but after those incidents it was inevitable really, never mind you are more or less guaranteed top 8/9, its asking a lot to catch Everton or United now, so fair play.

Pity your Argie manager didn`t take the FA Cup more seriously,Le Tiss was spot on, he thinks he has disrespected the competition, the door was wide open for a non glamour club, Southampton, Hull, even Everton can put into this category, to go all the way.
Ask any footballer,(Rickie Lambert as a example) FA Cup winners medal or 8th/9th in the League?
Ask MOST fans were did you finish in the league 5 or 6 seasons ago? Probably can`t remember.
Ask Saints fans when did they win the FA Cup, even neutrals like me know it was 1976.You can`t take away that part of your history.
Just not sure some of the "overseas" managers and players "get" the FA Cup like us English.
I think you could still be in the cup,one match away from a great Wembley day out, minimum, and not be distracted from finishing, a good, high top half.
Missed opportunity IMO

Another 3 points. Not pretty at times, but 3 points are always welcome.... Could we challenge Newcastle for 8th?

The bigger story to come out of yesterday's developments was the confirmation that Katharina is not considering selling the club - that has to be good news.. cool

I'm not bothered that Mr Krueger doesn't have a footballing background (it's not a pre-requisite, IMO); he comes with excellent sporting credentials; his primary remit appears to be the commercial development of the football club; he seems to understand the importance of not alienating the fanbase; he wants to improve the image of the club, not to mention his wish for more open communication..

At first glance, it looks like an exciting appointment (although not sure about talk of migrating some games to the US !), but actions speak louder than words so will watch and see what develops as time progresses..

Current feelings ? Cautious optimisim..

Clive Woodward anyone? hehe

Joking aside, I agree with you 100% mate.

<shudder>

Comparisons between Krueger's appointment and the [disastrous / embarrassing / bizarre] appointment of Woodward are inevitable.

FWIW, I don't expect to see Krueger out on the training pitch with his initials emblazoned all over his trackie top (remember Rupes ?). That said, it is a hope that our new Canadian-come-German ice-hockey & soccerball loving Chairman sticks to what he claims to be here to do and doesn't meddle or do anything to upset a [currently] very happy apple-cart..

Hi folks. Need some advise.

I'm a season ticket holder who travels down from the midlands, so head down the M3 onto The Avenue.

Normally bring down a 2004 Passat estate which I dump for free on the street not too far from the Jag dealer.

Anyway traveling with my dad next week and really want to bring my new motor, but paranoid about dumping it on the street. Is there any good paid parking towards the north of the city that any of you guys use?

Much appreciated. If it can't be answered here it mustn't exist!

I would be tempted to park somewhere like Bursledon railway statin and hop on the train to Woolston to be honest.

Given you a coming in via the M3 you could do similar from Parkway for ease of journey but tighter spaces, paid for parking and possibly less safe than a rural station that's only 5 mins further along the M27 and avoiding town traffic that route means M3>Bursledon would still be far quicker than the avenue into town.

COYR for today. Off to a Leeds pub for the match...

Park in the multi near the mayflower and walk over with the away fans. Just don't taken the dog as you're bound to lose the lead.

FFS. Bloody Spurs as well.

Couple of defensive mistakes and game lost frown

What happened to the tightest defence in the league earlier in the season?
