Not sure Alexis will play, although he was rested at the weekend due to illness so could make an appearance.
Arsne usually puts out a young team with a few experienced players. There are a number of 1st team players who could do with some game time though, Rosicky, Campbell, Ox, Podolski, Diaby so I suspect they'll all play. Plus a few youngsters. Should be a good game, I do like the way you chaps have been playing.

Well done Southampton (from an Arsenal fan). Sounded like you deserved the win overall and it sounds like it was a game where both teams were trying to play nice football. Good luck for the rest of the tournament!!
Thank you. Great to be playing good football and enjoying the change in press ..... Except from Martin Samual in the Mail5 years ago we were in League 1 and now we are competing well with the middle tier of the premier league. We have to remember where we have come from and how fragile it can be whilst making progress, but not lose sight of the dream of European football one day.
Last night was an example of how well Saints are playing football, how we play as a team and have an attractive style which neutrals enjoy watching. It was also a lesson in how belief plays a part in pulling the team together.
I'm not getting carried away that Saints will be in Europe or challenging top 4, or even that it was Arsenals best team that we beat, but they did have Wilshire, Sanchez, the Ox, chanmbers and carzola on at some stage as well as Podolski. Lets hope that the good form continues and that we surprise a few more people this year and build a squad which players want to join and not leave.

the trouble is all the vultures will start circling again, heads will be turned and we will have to start again.
I thought this, but then if we have the scouting ability to be able to assemble a team as quickly as this, who's to say we couldn't do it again? I think we'll have fun trying to keep hold of Tadic and possibly Forster, but Pelle won't go anywhere, especially if the Italy call-up rumours are true. His relationship with Koeman is too strong. The other side I thought to this was that will players keep leaving if they can actually see the club is making progress, and they have the chance to be part of something that will be talked about for years?

If we win the league cup or the FA cup or by some miracle finish top 6, then why would the players leave? They have seen the experience of Shaw, Lallana, Lambert and might think about why Southampton works well (teamwork and togetherness). I know that players are in it for themselves, and I know it's a long shot, but as a footie fan, you have to dream, otherwise it's a miserable life. We should be asking SKY why we are on less than any other team and therefore generating less revenue?

I'd rather ask BT Sports as I don't have Sky We should be asking SKY why we are on less than any other team and therefore generating less revenue?
