I'm certainly enjoying the table position while it lasts. Very uncertain about the Spurs game though
I am too and agree "while it lasts". It is the points tally versus games played that matters. It may have been relatively easy games so far, but I would rather not be playing QPR, Newcastle etc when they are fighting for survival points. I say if we beat Spurs then a finishing position similar to last year is not beyond us.......also does not feel like over achievement at the moment; far more faith in the "Cow Man"

Thoughts on Ashley Young lads?
Regurgitated rumour from a while back, I suspect.Either way, a big fat no from me - he's too old, not good enough, a serial diver and cheat, on £90k a week (ouch), Mane and Tadic are miles better, we simply don't need him, etc etc.
Reckon he's right up Arry's street, though - no doubt old Saggy thinks he's a triffic, triffic player.
Gutting, but keep positive and keep going. A run of 'easier' games coming, though playing Stoke twice in a week is gonna call for some shuffling on the team sheet!
It just wasn't our day, but we didn't get stuffed and this run was always going to come to an end sooner or later. Spuds are a good side when they want to be, and yesterday they needed to win that more than we did.
Mane though...........he was more pissed off than us!

Good to see Steven Davis sign a new deal. Also Ronnie and Pellè receiving manager and player of the month respectively for September.
Sunderland tomorrow, only Mane an injury concern but it will be a tough game I think.
We've not beaten them in 8 attempts (D2L2 last season) but I think we have some quality in the team and will score a couple of times. Always think that Manager of the month is a curse (Saints winners include Dave Merrington, Souness twice, Shouty Scottish bloke twice, and even Harry Redknapp....oh and MoPo)Sunderland tomorrow, only Mane an injury concern but it will be a tough game I think.
