Another win, another screamer for Pelle. Long opens his account too!

The bubble will burst one day, but it's gotten much bigger than I ever thought it would. This is fantastic stuff!!

The First Line of the BBC Report....
"Southampton continued their impressive form with a win over 10-man Stoke City"

Hang on.... Crouch didn't get redcard until the 87th Minute !!

"His exit was a huge blow to Mark Hughes's side, who were chasing their second quarter-final appearance in as many years"

A great write up from the Stoke fan...... rolleyes

Football overcame thuggery, particularly in the 2nd half.

Begovic had a blinder - but for his last ditch saves, we would have had 3 or 4 more.

Gardos had a couple of major aberrations which could have easily resulted in goals against - good to see him get a game, but he's nowhere near Toby's class.

The Tadic / Pelle combination looked unplayable at times - long may that continue.

Pleased for Long to get the goal that his sheer hard work deserves.

Pat on the back for Crouchie - nice one, fella.. laugh

Good to see RK taking the competition seriously, and looking forward to another trip oop north in December.

Millwall - Away win
Arsenal - Away win
Stoke - Away win
Sheffield United - Away game

If we get through, is the semi-final a 2 leg affair where we might play at home?

Yes, they've been two-legged since Day 1.

My dad is a huge Saints fan, and is rapidly running out of celebratory champagne. Its the best season in 30 years in his estimation.

Well done The Saints, you are truly a breathe of fresh air in the Premiership, what a superb manager RK is. Really looking forward to your forthcoming visit to Bramall Lane to see where Sheff U currently are as a team..

9 wins from 10 games in all competitions is impressive by any standard.

A Southampton win at Wembley against the RS would be poetic justicebiggrin

Pelle has been in fine goalscoring form, surprisingly as he looked pretty average against Bayern Leverkusen, and made Lambert look mobile.

These really are great times to be a Saints fan.
A very winnable game at Sheff Utd and we are in a 2 legged semi where anything can happen.
Would love another trip to Wembley biggrin

Back to the Prem, another tough game up at Hull. On current form we should get 3 points but 1 would do for me then 3 at home to Leicester.

Hull are a tough side to break down, as Liverpool and Arsenal will no doubt testify.

Would be pleased with a point, elated with 3 and a bit miffed with 0.

I put 1-1 in the Predictathon... think we could do it, but Hull are a good side and tough to break down... Pelle think you are needed smile

Surprised by that. Yes we are a hard team to break down, but Southampton are currently way better than Liverpool and Arsenal. If we get anything out of the game today I'll be pleased.

No surprise. In our first season back in the top flight, he predicted us to lose multiple times in a row despite us being at home, and playing well. It's been done to death on other forums about Lawro not liking Southampton which he denies and last season, he even made a statement on it as Saints fans barracked him on it.

It does not matter to me what Lawro thinks, hopefully we'll keep proving him and the rest of the league wrong
