Another game gone and 3 points in the bag.
1st half yesterday our final ball was lacking but we kept at it and the quality shone through in the end.
Fair play to Leicester for defending stoutly for over an hour but once we scored there was only going to be one winner. I do worry for Leicester as they were no threat up front at all.
We are now statistically 1 of only 3 clubs that can win the premier league. No-one has won the Premier league with less than 18 points after 10 games. So wave goodbye to the title Liverhampton,Arse,Manure,Spuds and Everton laugh

And to top a great weekend Spuds are 2 down at home to Stoke biglaugh

Does bring a smile to my face.

Phil Neville seems to give us credit on MOTD yesterday as well, makes a change!

Likewise Arsenal, and Liverpool lose yesterday.

Just a pity Aldershot couldn't have hung on for what would have been a perfect set of results.

No one's getting ahead of themselves - as has already been posted, the principal aim remains getting to 40 points. Anything after that will be a bonus.

But I see nothing wrong at all in highlighting Rodgers' breathtaking arrogance, especially when, for now at least, it has turned around and bitten him squarely on the ar5e (yet again).
None of us see anything wrong in it.

Good result for you on saturday. There was no way we were going to hang on in the second half. Not sure what's going on with us at the moment. For whatever reason, nigel seems to be leaving out playing the wingers and our forwards are almost isolated up front. Gonna be an interested January!!!

Here's hoping you guys break the mould from the usual top 4 teams and keep your momentum going smile

I remember coming up from the Championship only 2 years ago with So'ton and now both the Hammers and Saints are in the top 4. And with all teams now having played 11 games and TheArse losing yesterday that's fair and square! smile Well done Southampton - 40 points to safety eh! COYI laugh

I see that Toby has mentioned in a press conference that he'd like his loan deal from Atletico to be made permanent.

Looking at the fee paid for Lovren and what Liverpool have actually got for their money, getting Toby on the bus at the reported price of just £7m would be the bargain to end all bargains.

Have to agree with this. He and Fonte seem to have a good partnership with Ryan and Clyne supporting

As the Mirror said this week Toby is C.L.A.S.S bow

When he has started games for us this season we have conceded only 2 goals.
If Athletico want an extra £2 million for an early deal I would snap their hands off yes

Anyone have any info on JayRod's progress? Nothing much on the Saints' website. Will he have a look-in when he returns?

Buying a match ticket is hard work these days now we are successful!

As I live oop North I only get to SM infrequently so cannot justify a season ticket these days. Despite being a regular over the years and as recently as 2010 having braved the wind and rain only to see the Saints lose 1-0 to Swindon Town at home, the irony that I can only buy 1 ticket for Cat A games is not lost on me!

Hey ho, the price of success!

Hi mate.

I've been a STH at St Mary's since Day 1 so never had the need to use these people, but a guy I know based in London has nothing but good things to say about them. May be worth getting in touch with them ?

No promises, but if it's just the occasional home ticket you are after, give me a yell when the tickets go on sale and I'll see what I can do from here - sometimes, a quick flyby of the ticket office reaps better rewards than their online booking system..

Thanks mate - I put out a heart-felt request on Facebook to Saints mates to see who may not be going to the game(s) but drawn a blank. Will register on that site.

I was after 2 tickets (3 ideally - 2 as a second best) for the City game - possibly 2 for United on the Monday night too, if I can drag out the stay down South.

No worries - let me know how you get on with the Northern Saints. At the moment, I'm limited to 1 ticket for each of the Manc games because I've not bought any other home tickets this season - as someone who's already bought 2 season tickets, why would I ?

Hope to be able to get more by either waiting until the restriction is lifted (if it is), or tapping up any mates who've bought tickets and tieing them down as Friends & Family.

Just checked, I can order more than 1 for both Manc games from tomorrow morning, but the club wants to know the names, addresses, contact numbers of those who will be attending.

Does your mobile number still end in '22' ?

It certainly does mate.

That would be awesome.

Not sure how long I am staying down to be honest mate. Have to be down on that friday anyway (28th) so hence the plan was hatched to go to the game on the Sunday and head back up norf on Monday. The extension was only really if I couldn't get a ticket for the City game with the idea I could do Utd a week later. No really ideal though as I am only just back from a lengthy trip away in Dubai so could do with some office time - my "away" service is very much like a "light" version!

Plus I have a ticket for Utd away anyway so will get to see us beat them at their place as it is wink

I couldn't get one for Leicester the other day! Surprised, but in a good way! It was my fault for not getting there earlier, but I just assumed I'd be ok with about a week to go.
Had an offer come through for Citeh tickets as I've bought enough this year that I get better priority, but I can't afford it this month now frown
