Thoughts for tomorrow's game? I'd really love it if Saints win, of all the games of the season.

Happy thought: We take MoPo down in our own stadium while displaying our affection of all things RoKo with a massive sea of orange. Liverpool also lose to whoever they're against next.

Realistic thought: Spurs step it up a gear, we start to stutter as the season draws to a close, lose to the team that nicked our song (not to mention managers) and pretty much cement a 7th place finish. We lose 3-4 key players as a result of not qualifying for Europe.

We're just not playing well enough to see it any other way for me. Spuds are a strong team, and they've had a recent fk-up, so odds are not strong that they'll have another tomorrow. Reckon Kane'll bag a brace.

Whether you qualify for Europe or not I think the vultures will come circling again in the summer.

Clyne, Schniederling, Rodriguez just off the top of my head.

We've been waiting for you lot to stutter all bloody season! I reckon you'll beat us 3-1. Our defence is an utter shambles. But, Kane can't stop scoring.

Losing 5 league games or whatever it was on the trot over the winter wasn't a big enough stutter then? hehe

I'd love to beat you 3-1, but I really can't see it happening. We're not the same team we started out as at the beginning of the season. The stupid thing is to not achieve a Euro place would feel like a let down, but if you scroll back a few pages you'll see us all hoping we don't get relegated at the end of the season! Daft really, it's been a brilliant season.

Clyne and Spiderman have pretty much already gone. J-Rod I'm not so sure about. MoPo might want to try and lure him away, as he loves him. J-Rod's making was playing under Poch, he was actually pretty average when he first joined.
Wanyama, Pelle, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Mane, Alderweirald.....I've seen them all linked, but I don't think any will leave other than Toby who's on loan and is required back at AM apparently.

Expect to see him in a Citeh shirt soon then hehe

Think Jrod will be here next season as I'm not sure anyone will want to gamble on him being fit enough. He still has a way to go before he features in the first team although he may get an outing in the U21's before the end of season

There's always the risk he doesn't come back the same player. Those injuries can be career enders.

Davis was absolutely woeful today, And Ward- Prowse barely touched the ball. If any of our midfield could score we would have 4/6 more points.

Davis had some howling shots, but still put in a shift. He does a lot off the ballistics goes unnoticed. I thought wardy did ok personally, and might feel aggrieved to have been pulled off. Pelle had a great game, and Mane needs to stop fking diving! Unlucky not to get the win.

I agree with unlucky not to win. JWP was taken off because he failed to show for the ball and can't tackle. Whilst S Davis was woeful at least he looked for the ball and got involved.

So everytime Yoshida plays we are guaranteed to concede at least 2 goals. How he is still playing in the Premier League I have no idea?!?! Both todays Spurs goals seemed to be his fault...

Good to see Pelle scoring again although Spurs defence looked about as effective as an under 15s Tyro league team.

As a life long Saints fan it feels weird having a moan considering how well we are doing, but we could be serious contenders (top 4) with just a tiny bit more quality! So frustrating!

A point is better than none but I felt that game was winnable from what I saw on the telly. On the plus side I hope Pelle has found his form again - great header for the 2nd goal.

I dunno, JWP looked lively to me. Mind you I watched it on the telly, and at the ground things show the real story. I remember the first time I saw J-Rod playing live, and thinking "st, he must have covered every square foot of the pitch!"

He's shown some good moments this season, but overall I agree he's not 1st team level. A good backup maybe, but then why did we spunk £8m on Gardos??

I saw the game on the TV and felt that we had enough chances to win the game. Davis chance was a sitter and really should have put us into the lead. It felt like Spurs only really had 2 chances and scored with both.
Mane caused some issues, but needs to stay on his feet and he used his pace well.
Record points total and more to come I hope.

I think Gardos was £4m

I have been quite impressed with Yoshida. He does the simple stuff very well indeed, unlike many others in the prem league. Occasionally against the best he is found wanted.

I love Davis to bits but Fraser would have saved at least one goal

The other Davis should have had a couple. Misses were unforgivable

Scousers' loss keeps things interesting. Four games left and 9 points are not out of the question if they play as we know they have and can. I thnk Wanyama is back from his ban now IIRC

I still have a niggle in the back of my mind that we could look back on this season as the best opportunity for Champions League football and it was missed purely down to the goal drought in February (and possibly part of December)

edit: Is Schneiderlin out for long?
