...and it seems Morgan will be off somewhere (either Woolwich Arsenal or Man Utd) before the end of the week too.

Lets hope RK can pull off another "replacing with cheaper yet better" trick over the summer.

We did it last year and I see no reason why this year should be any different biggrin

It should be easier to attract players in this year. I was hoping that would also allow us to keep some too.

Clyne gone then, officially. A £10m profit isn't to be sniffed at but he was pretty decent. I wonder if he'll do a 'Lovren'?

Not really that bothered, he wasn't great in the second half of the season (hopefully Soares will turn out to be a decent signing). Schneiderlin will be a big loss if he goes though, which looks almost certain ..

Every day that the bids aren't rolling in for Spider is another day his value drops. He needs to go, unless he's had a change of heart and actually WANTS to stay, otherwise it's just dragging out the inevitable.

Clyne? Good servant, decent professional and if it had been any of the top 4 I'd have willed him on, but it had to be them, didn't it? I enjoyed watching them falter last season, and hope that continues this season. Sorry Clyney, but at least you'll be able to afford a decent haircut now.

Just need to activate the button which turns them rubbish when they move to a club north of Birmingham. It worked with Shaw, Lambert, Lovren and Adam...
Not sure the Chambers button did not malfunction

Not a lot of incentive to play well when you are paid that much. I don't think he's as bad as Ali Dia, but Dia did have a shot!!

I don't know why Shaw is in that list, he hasn't been bad when he's played.

Unless your button includes injuries and making their bones turn to yoghurt. In which case, I'll give you that. biggrin

Shaw was very good, but he did get injured/lardy and I hope for his sake that he plays well this year

Shaw is like me - he just sweats a lot and looks knackered after 5 minutes, regardless of the gas he's got left in the tank. he just needs a shorter haircut and it won't look like he's just stepped out the shower.

Battle for Alderweireld's signature still on-going. Sky Sports and BBC report legal action now being considered.

Signing no.4 in the bag in the shape of Cuco Martinez from Twente. Can play pretty much anywhere across the back four, though best off as RB or CB. And if you listen to FC Twente's fan forums, best off miles away from Twente as far as they're concerned! Doesn't install much confidence, but he's clearly been brought in to add depth for the extra EL fixtures and the 'black box' hasn't produced any duff signings yet, only loan deals.

Brenda's heard about it already:

edit to add: I think he's come in at less than £1m too, though nothing confirmed.

Are you fans getting a bit concerned that you've lost a lot of English/British talent, and the replacements all seem to be of the 'Jonny Foreigner' type?

I'd be lying if I didn't say it saddened me slightly, but results are what counts, and we can always breed the English talent rather than buy it. When Fraser's fit, we'll still have four regular English starters, which I can't see being any less than any other PL team.

The problem is bigger clubs keep coming in and looting all our English players! Not sure the club can do much about that if they want to leave. We still have some decent English players though: Forster, Bertrand, Targett, Reed, JWP, Rodriguez, etc.
