Bit harsh to lay too much blame on Yoshida, to be fair.
Unless Steven Davis picked up a knock, it was a ridiculous decision to sub him instead of [the utterly ineffective] Ward-Prowse.
Even more bizarre was the decision to bring on Rodriguez whilst we were getting battered in midfield and leave Romeu on the bench.
And when your 'keeper cannot clear the half-way line with his goal kicks, it's surely time for him to hang up his boots.
Fair play to Leicester for their comeback (they probably should have taken all 3 points), but I feel the decisions of our management & coaches were the driving force behind yesterday's capitulation.

Completely take all that on board, hence why I said I know it's about more than just one player, but he does seem to be the common denominator. The other players have proven to be good enough at this level...everyone has off days. Yoshida has not proven himself at all; I just don't know why he is still anywhere near the squad.
Anyway, rant over :-)

I'm not in the anti-Yoshida camp, personally. I think he's a useful squad player, but only if he's got some solid DM's in front of him. He's got a great attitude, and always put in a shift but I don't think he's got a 'footballing brain'. He's hardly ever in the right place at the right time, clearances end up with the other team etc. And he should never, ever be played at RB.
Thing I don't get is why the preference using him over Caulker. I'd rate Caulker higher, though maybe getting some more minutes with Maya is investing in the future a bit more? As for him at RB, what was the point of getting Martina in? He's easily better at RB than Yoshida.

Why was Kelvin Davis playing anyway?
Maarten Whatnot had a back spasm.Mind you, RK knows more about football than I do
Have only seen MOTD, but I'd always take a point away at Anfield to be honest. We've had Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool, and taken 5 points. Not an awful return, to be honest. It's mid-table form, which is where I think we'll end up.
What was Mane up to at the end though?!
See Gaston was involved in the goal. Hasn't he come on as a sub and created 2-3 chances now, possibly officially assists? Be nice if we could finally see what we all know he's capable of, and would be a very good time for him to show it too.

Before the 3 games knowing we were away at Chelsea and Liverpool, I thought 3 or possibly 4 points would be the best we could do, so I'm pretty pleased with 5. 2-0 up on Leicester, we should have closed the game out but let them run us ragged.

Would have gladly taken a point before the game, but must admit to feeling a little 'meh' at the final whistle. Very little threat from Liverpool and I reckon they were there for the taking.
Remain to be convinced about Clasie - not seen enough from him to convince me that he should be in the starting XI, although he did improve (a bit) as the game went on.
Thought Big Vic was immense (as ever), and was really pleased to see Gaston make such a positive contribution. He's a player who's clearly got a lot to offer but, other than his debut against Villa, he's rarely managed to show his A-Game.
It was evident the entire back-four was happier with Stek back between the sticks - Soares & Bertrand (and VVD) seemed much happier bombing forward.
All in all, no-one should ever be too unhappy with an away point an Anfield and at least we didn't have to suffer the rat-faced Nivea boy bagging a goal in front of the Saints fans.
Roll on Villa, even if it will be without Mane (silly lad)..
