We are being heavily backed to sign Charlie Austin now. Would be a good signing IMO.

That one's been doing the rounds for a while, even heard the same from someone who works at St Marys.

Talk of Austin deal being done - £4m, personal terms agreed, medical passed.

Would be a great bit of business if it proves to be true.

Is this as a Pelle or a Mane replacement? Having a striker who gets 15 goals a season is important to us (If they went to 20, that would be top 6 material for the saints in my opinion)

Great result and excellent performance. I thought the ref was a bit too lenient on some of the rakes with studs by the WBA players.

Nothing to fear going to OT next week. Mané has to score soon!

Correct - even Big Vic managed to avoid a booking.

Whilst Mane may well be off in the summer, Austin has been purchased as a replacement for Pelle, IMO.

3 more points and the path to 30 is complete. 2 difficult games coming up but the team were relaxed from the time the first goal went in (cracking free kick)
Trick is how the players stay together and work as a team moving forwards and now that Fraser is back, the defence looks more accomplished!!

Any thoughts on the next couple of games? Tough fixtures and being away from home at Old Trafford is never easy.

Utd is the sort of game we're capable of winning at the moment, so we're likely to lose there. On the plus side, Austin's impressed so much in training that he's made the squad. Not bad, considering he's been out with a hamstring for QPR!

Been offered a ticket for tomorrow and I am tempted. I went to the same fixture last year and came away smiling.

last year I don't think Utd had a shot on target... bet it's different this year

Yes, you're right. To be honest, it was a drab game made palatable by the result.
