I get the right hump on whenever we lose, I don't care who we're playing! Don't get me wrong I'd like Leicester to win the league as it'd be a change from the norm, but not at the expense of Saints getting valuable points. Leicester are extremely beatable if our attacking players play like we know they can (not often enough this season!!)

As much as it pains me to say it Tottenham are the best team in the league in no small part due to one of my favourite players to ever wear a Saints shirt. Gutted when we lost Toby!

Saints should have had a penalty and Leicester down to 10 men but that's the way it goes. Not a bad performance from what I saw but just couldn't find the net. Tadic was disappointing.

I'd have brought on a half-ready J Rod over Tadic. 5 assists in 7 appearances is good, but he just never seems to actually do anything other than give the ball away and spend 14mins trying to switch onto the other foot.
Lost it in the first half. Mane HAS to score there. I'm not convinced it was a penalty though, personally. He kept his arm down, he can't make it disappear! The Huth one, on the other hand (geddit?) - Stonewall penalty IMO.

Gutted, because Leicester were 4 point clear of Spuds, them having failed to beat Liverhampton yesterday, and Everton could have beaten Utd meaning a win for us and we're well on the way to 6th. We cocked it up, and Everton didn't help us either.

That said, I thought Leicester were very strong, exceptionally well organised, clearly have an amazing team spirit and thoroughly deserve to win the league. I really hope they do.

Fairly average game I thought today despite the score. Toon were pretty poor TBH but Saints' clean sheet was given up sloppily. Mane's on the ball decision making was lacking and Pelle was lazy IMO.

From what I saw today the Toon is down. Even their fans seemed resigned to it.

On the plus side for Saints, three points were needed if European football is desired.

Indeed. It seemed that after the early goal that Saints assumed they win so didn't put in much effort and went for long shots and comedy bicycle kicks rather than grind out a larger scoreline.

Good to see JRod return.

I felt sorry for the travelling Newcastle fans yesterday. Their team put in so little effort it was embarrassing ! No desire,no fight and no idea. That even includes the manager. So many players out of position and happy just to collect their wage packet. They are definitely going down with the Villa.
The game was so easy for us we became too casual. A top team would have scored a hatful yesterday.

Two points dropped from what I saw on my hooky stream. Everton were poor and Saints should've scored more. Need more goals scoring away.

Everton were awful. Speaks volumes about their season when Gibson is one of their better players on the day. Stones did a good job keeping Pelle quiet I thought, but on the whole it was a below-average performance from us. We failed to take advantage of their bad form and weakened starting eleven, and if there was ever a season to overturn the Goodison Park curse, this was it. Chance missed.

2pts dropped? Yeah, I think so. That's Europe pretty much dead and buried now, but I predicted us to finish 12th at the start of the season I think, so it's still not a total disaster season in my eyes. Good to be in the top half, which I think we will be. Also good to see J-Rod back and getting involved.

Definitely 2 points dropped rather than 1 point gained, even if we did go behind to start with.

Some poor finishing and poor first touches from Pelle and, surprisingly, from Shane Long - a bit sharper in and around the box and we'd have won at a canter.

Good to see J-Rod back - didn't pull out of some strong challenges, nor did he need 10 shots to get one on target ! Bodes well.

Nice 3 points at Villa. From what I hear it was pretty straightforward so to concede 2 is a bit odd

Three games left; thoughts?

Citeh home - could draw.
Spuds away - they'll probably win
Palace home - should win

I think Saints could miss the Europa league next season personally, though I hope I am wrong.

No, but you're more than welcome to Stirling or Bony.

Was great to see our tenacity yesterday, was like a different team to majority of games this season. Still lacking that quality in the final third unfortunately but to still score 4 is impressive. That said City are very average without Aguero and DeBruyne. Ian Nacho is top quality though laugh

Long and Davis for me were performances of the game.

I though Tadic put in a shift, which he sometimes doesn't -maybe the earlish assist fired him up a bit ... Mane's run for the second goal put Citeh's £££££ players to shame readlly ... but their defence - jesus. Otamendi might have the current 'look' off to a tee - beard, full sleeves No. 1 above the ears etc - but instead of spending time personally grooming himself he should learn to fking defend ... why bother though, never have to work again etc ... wo REALLY cares? Only the fans ...

It has to be said Otemendi was brillant against Real Nadrid earlier in the week (it has to be said yesterday was the norm though)

Quality performance yesterday against a really p!ss poor Citeh side.
How those two clown centre halfs are playing in the Premier league is beyond me.
Now lets go to White Hart Lane and turn the Spuds over.
Coincidently the only team we have not beaten since being back in the Premier league !
