A more reliable source said 7,5M Euro a year, not the 40 or 38M for the combined 2 1/2 years as has been mentioned as well.

So Swansea can come out and make it clear that Williams is not for sale and not going anywhere (as well as keeping hold of Sigurdsson who would have been a great signing for us). Is there any reason why we can't do this with Fonte? Just to allay any fears. The silence concerns me...

I'm a bit worried about Fonte as he has been immense for some time and is the heart of our defence.
Time for Long and Austin to shine this season as well as JWP, Targett and 1-2 others becoming obligatory names on the team sheet

Because it would mean playing the media/agent's game in public and invite more questions. From Nicola onwards we've been a professionally quiet club.

Surprised about Gallagher, but he's not really stepped up in the past 2 seasons (I know he had injuries) and I guess that Long and Austin are expecting to get more games with Pelle gone.

I can see why they went for him. Certainly don't think he's going to be any less effective than Stones, and at a fraction of the cost.
