From what I gather he lost the dressing room a while back. But who do we get in?

Whatever the fans say though, nothing will change. Despite the fact something is clearly wrong at the club. Not just because of the last 3 results...it goes a lot deeper than that.

I wanted to give Puel a chance but, I've lost my patience. Can you see him motivating a team??

Was on the cards after he turned down an extension a few weeks ago. Sad that someone who has shown such loyalty is off and I do wonder what is going on behind the scenes.

I seem to recall Fonte coming out and saying that no new contract had been offered, with Reed being adamant that a new deal was offered. Someone's not being entirely straight.

I really feel for him not getting a single kick during our Europa campaign - no way should such an important player (this season and last) have been left out for all those games.

Also hearing rumours of a major dressing room revolt with many of the senior players not happy with Puel and, in particular, Eric Black. This culminated in Ralph having a one-on-one with the team before the Everton game.

Clearly, all is not right at the moment. If it really is terminal between the players and the new manager & his staff, then I hope something is done about it sooner rather than later.

Hello matey - all good ta. Was home over xmas (albeit briefly) and was looking to get a ticket for the Spurs game. If I had, I was going to drop you a line about a beer before the game but as it happened I had to hot foot back to Yorkshire and ended up watching it with a couple of Spurs fan mates up here grrrr.

I agree re the dressing room. Will see what develops over the next 3 - 4 weeks I guess. We had a stiff run of games in short succession so I put fatigue as the cause of some of the lacklustre performances, coupled with the lack of depth we have always suffered in terms of a squad. However, lets see how things go now...

And the old man hasn't changed Neil (you might remember him from all those years ago when we were working on the S whilst he was fitting something in my garage). Here's the vid of my surprise journey down on xmas day and he comes out at the end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3rKFa3eOCY

The team we have sold in the past 5 years would grace the top 6 of any premier league season. Maybe a little weak in terms of a keeper, but Pelle, Lallana, Shaw, Lovren, Wanyama are all cracking players
And we also had Toby A who is now at Spurs for a season....

Yes of course , i forgot about him.

He's obviously not on that list because he was cheaper than the rest,

Unbelievable really he is one special player & the Spurs faithful absolutely love him.

We only had him on loan with an option to buy which was bought out by his prior club who then sold him to Spurs.
Shaw, Toby, Van Dijk, Clyne would have been a heck of a back line

So far so good, but it's a matter of concentration and hopefully the boys can keep focused all evening

Good to see Redmond pop one in.... it's been a while and he has been due a goal

Should be at least 3 up, Liverpool are woeful at the back.

At the risk of sounding like a bed wetter, I would be stunned if we got to Wembley, even with the 1 goal lead. I just don't see this team doing it.

Missed all of the game unfortunately. Was it good? Only one goal in it but is it enough?

Fonte gone/going as well then by the looks of it. Pity, he's been a great player for the club.

I genuinely prefer Bertie to Shaw, he is one of our key players this season!

It was a good game, after 18 mins. I was thinking 'here we go again', but we sparked into life suddenly and got the goal on 19mins. Was a fitting time to score with the planned 20 minute applause for the young lad who died at the weekend, and the atmosphere just seem to build and build which I have no doubt helped the team! Great defensive performance, shame we didn't take our chances...should have been a genuine 3 or 4-0.

As for Fonte, I've come to the conclusion the sooner he goes the better. He's been a good servant etc etc, but by all accounts his behaviour hasn't been what it should be this season.
