Caceres deal done, apparently. Just awaiting an announcement. Not sure if he's the answer, but desperate times....

He's certainly got the quality, just a case if he can stay focused and fit. The last hot-headed player we took from Serie A with a ponytail didn't work out too well

A fat signing on fee though, I would think. Reed really has royally ballsed up the transfer strategy this season.

I hope he's as good as VvD. From what I read it's just until the end of the season, although there's nothing on the Saints' website yet

So do I, but fear he will be a long way short. Long term injury, lacking match fitness and no experience of English game are not great credentials to hit the ground running.

Blimey, after last week didn't see that coming. Seems we were as good as Sunderland were poor. Could have been more.

Gabbiadini looks a proper finisher. Hope he isn't a Pelle who gets 5 in 6 then doesn't score in 10

Does anyone else think that 'My Way' cover at the start of home games is bloody awful? I don't like it at all.

Great result, great performance and a brilliant weekend.
Sunderland were utter sh!te but at times our football was sublime.
I am feeling pretty positive about the final now. Yes Utd are a quality team but we can play and in a final I think we will be given the chance to play.
Is our name on the cup ??

I read one tenuous article which talked about Barcelona needing defensive cover and listed a number of options, one of which was Martin Caceres.

Other than that, I've not seen or heard anything - have there been further developments ?
