He just has no character, he can't hold a post match interview, let anone a dressing room.

If the reports are true, he's fallen out with some key players, and perhaps, the team have stopped playing for him?

I thought he was an odd appointment from the start, and I just haven't warmed to him.

We did play well last night though, and, he can't be blamed for THREE missed penalties!

My 53rd game today and boy do I know I have done them !!
Any fan who does every game every season deserves a medal.
As for today, who knows. Would be really nice to see some all out attacking football and a few goals but I doubt that is going to happen.
Plenty of talk around the forums that Puel is a dead man walking. Part of me is not too bothered if he goes. The other part would like to see a bit of stability at the club.
Anyway lets enjoy the last game, have a good summer and hit the ground running next season.

Terrible

But remarkably got 8th. Couldn't have finished higher, but should have been 10pts plus better off

Yes, 8th is fairly remarkable though 15 points behind 7th and there are only 6 points covering 8th to 17th.

I wouldn't mind Puel again if VvD and Austin are back but no more Tadic attempts at a penalty, thank you.

Keeping VVD will be key as the vultures are circling. I think we may see a few go this season that we want to sell rather than just the ones who have performed well this season

Hearing the rumours about the ex Dortmund boss. That would be fantastic in my opinion!

Would be a great signing but also need some depth in the squad for next year.

Especially when VVD goes

I can't believe there has still been no announcement regarding Puel.

I can just see this dragging on until about 2 weeks before the new season and having sold VVD, Bertrand, Soares etc etc, we will then be scrabbling around trying to make up the numbers. Yes I'm being negative, but I can see it, especially with a huge question mark over our ownership!!

@AdamBlackmore - BBC Radio Solent understands that #saintsfc are to report Liverpool to the Premier League over an illegal approach for Virgil Van Dijk.

Is VvD now staying if Liverpool has backed down?

He'll probably leave for another team, but for less money due to one fewer team being after him.

The guy still has 5 years on his contract.

The club made a stand against Liverpool and forced them into a humiliating climb down.

Would be good if an equally firm stance could be taken with any want-away players under long term contracts.

That said, if a player really wants out, then it'd be difficult to hang on to them.

As if you will keep him hehe
Profit is profit you will just sell him, sign someone else and the cycle will repeat itself next season.

I'd hope for Tuchel or Ranieri.

So much depends on the takeover though. They need to get is sorted pdq.
