Great result! Feel a bit bad for Leicester though, after Coventry lost 4-1 I thought they deserved to go down.

well done saints..mind you it made compelling viewing. League one is a lonely lonely place. 4-1 to wednesday at the end of it gives us the lofty position of 16th ! wonders never cease...and we finished above blackpool etc...bounce

and no..i dont feel sorry for leicester

I don't feel sorry for Manderic or Holloway, but do feel sorry for the real fans.
(not the hoards of chavs,we had our coach hit by a lump of concrete thrown by one of these cretins after last years Carling cup game.)

Steve.

As a Watford fan I was at Vicarage Road when we were relegated to the 3rd tier (what ever it was called then) back in 97 (I think).

Who were we playing? Leicester...

Their fans were merciless as they were promoted and we were relegated. What comes around... rofl

Well done Saints smile

Well done to the Saints - even though they beat the mighty Blades.
I don't bear any grudge to Leicester fans, but let's not forget how they jumped from bankruptcy to rebirth in a single day not so long ago, and weren't penalised as other clubs have been since....
Now they've got to suffer the gloating from Forest!

Not from me they wont.... Im a Forest fan & know how tough life can be in lonely league 1.....
If Derby were to go down, then that would be a different matter. biggrin

Well this is a thread resurection.....

Well done Saints on Saturday.... Incredible coming back from 2 goals down...
I was coming back from playing football and heard the half time score and turned to music as I was dis-heartened. I got home and looked at Teletext and hey presto, we had won. Well done the lads and long may it continue!!!

Thats the problem we Royals fans face. We beat a good team like Sheff Utd away one week and then lose to no hopers like the saints the next. All a matter of consistency.

Good support for Saints too, by the look of it. When I was at Basingstoke Rail station to catch my train south I saw loads of thier fans arriving and changing trains to Reading. Must have been a good atmosphere.
