Ignore that, duped by tweets from his non sacking in Jan. My bad
I can imagine it being soon if he doesn't turn things around now the takeover is apparently doneI hope Cellino does good for us, we've never been far from controversy over the years so what difference does having an Italian convicted fraudster at the helm make?!
I feel sorry for BMD, he came at a bad time and was shat on from above. I doubt he'll be around long but don't blame him for current form.
You've got to laugh, how did we find the only skint Arabs in the game?!

If you told me at beginning of season a team starting with letters Le would gain promotion today, i would have said with 99% certainty ....Leeds
I remember watching us play them at their place on Sky early in the season and frankly it amazes me that either team has managed to secure promotion as it was two poor sides that day! Having said that credit to Leicester, after 40+ games you're usually where you deserve to be - sadly the same probably applies to us!JNW1 said:

So he won the appeal today? I wonder how? Need to read the details.
I've done some reading, and still none the wiser! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26902775

"The independent QC has concluded that Mr Cellino's recent conviction in the Sardinian court did not involve conduct that would "reasonably be considered to be dishonest" based on information available to him at the current time.
I reckon that BMD will be in place until the end of the season and then, after a chat with Cellino, will go his separate way. Cellino has made no secret that he wants a First Team Coach rather than a Manager. BMD wants to manage the entire club from the first team to the scouting network to the youth set up. It's all part of his "building a club" vision and in my opinion is at odds with Cellino's philosophy on how he runs his club.
So I expect he'll go and we may well see some interest in Zola or DiMatteo as first team coach.

Well the figures have finally been released. Article over on Yep sums the clusterfk up quite well.
Loss of £9.5 million.
Close to £11.3m was loaned to the club by Brendale Holdings Limited, a Dubai-based company which is controlled by GFH.
The total amount owed to creditors at the end of June 2013 stands at more than £22m.
The accounts also confirm that between March 2013 and the end of the 2012-13 financial year, Leeds effectively had no majority shareholder.
They note that “Gulf Finance House sold more than 50% of their interest to various parties and so at the balance sheet date there was no controlling party.”
GFH subsequently bought back equity in December 2013, taking its stake to 85 per cent ahead of the sale of Leeds to Cellino.
£100k was paid to a charitable fund in Senegal set up by Diouf.
Cellino has one hell of a job ahead of him if he wants to stay within the FFP rules.

Something doesnt quite add up here with GFH.
They pay £52m in 2012 to buy Leeds.
They sell 75% of the club to Cellino at £25m.
Assuming they still own 25% (which according to the post above doesnt ring true) - then that is a loss of £14m (based on 75% of purchase price being £39m).
Now are they realling cutting their losses and walking away from £14m in value? Or have they been asset stripping (what assets!?) or taking money out of the club in other ways that account for the £1m a month losses? I know that they have loaned £11m to the club through Brendale, but assume they will get that back as they are creditors of the club.
As I said, something doesnt add up here.

Was the £52 million claim ever confirmed? Not read the full report yet but I wonder what interest rate the money was loaned to the club at.
Also it seems Cellino tried sacking David Haigh at the boardmeeting last night. Adam Pope is reporting that he is no longer part of the club. Seems the rubber stamping has taken place and Cellino now officially owns 75% of LUFC.

Not sure if it was confirmed, but even if it was over-estimated, the rapid turnaround from a break-even club to circa 10m loss (and that was 2012/3 - what state is it in now after another year - although not sure when the club's financial year runs from/to) is not right. I just think that GFH have syphoned money out of the club somehow.
Have just read the report on YEP about Haigh - but it didnt say he had been removed. Not seen the twitter reports, but happy that Cellino is moving fast. ER and TA bought by the end of the week?

Not just awful, but one of the most woefully gutless performances I've ever experienced - including the bigger defeats a few weeks ago.
Brian is now a dead man walking (if he wasn't before) and spent the game looking like a timid wreck.
I'd keep Ross, Pearce, Paddy, Murphy, Byram, Mowatt and Smith. Some serious investment's going to be needed to replace the other 17 or so players and the gaffer.
Noel Hunt isn't even good enough to sell programmes.
I'm quite cross, not least because it cost me £50 to get to Watford and back, and I didn't get my money's worth. Hey ho. MOT.

I wouldn't be so sure about not having a completely new team. I suspect the new owner will have plenty of B-grade Italians ready to ship over. I don't think it matters how the manager performs now anyway, so long as we don't get demoted. Whether he performs fantastically or terribly he will be gone. It'll be all change between May and the new season in August.
With the win yesterday I'd like to think we're now pretty much safe for this season; however, lots of work to be done over the summer if we're going to be competitive in the next campaign. Will our new owner be willing and able to fund what's required and will he trust the existing manager to spend his money?
