Good result at the weekend however, "Cellino is disqualified under the Football League's Owners' and Directors' Test" more to follow..
The same people that approved him in Marchhttp://www.football-league.co.uk/news/article/2014...

I wonder if he can step down but still keep his kids on the board and put one of them in charge?
No, that would count as him being a shadow director which isn't allowed either. However, if he can spin-out an appeal the view seems to be that he'll be able to continue as owner because after 18th March 2015 he becomes becomes a proper person again (a miracle, a miracle!). Seriously, though, what a farce!!http://spoughts.co.uk/2014/12/01/cellino-can-carry...
I thought these rules were in place to protect football clubs? If it wasn't for the buyout LUFC may have been no more, so from that view point, aren't these league rules counterproductive?
It really winds me that there are rules in place to promote fair play and stop clubs spending to much money and limiting squad sizes etc. They should be taking action (points deductions) against clubs that openly flout these rules at everyone elses expense. Instead they hammer struggling clubs in to insolvency.

If the owner holds his nerve then we'll be okay. Especially if we can make a couple of good quality signings in the transfer window, who can actually work with the team we have, rather than the strange mixture of players that have been brought in. It all just needs to be stabilised right now. Nothing spectacular, just keeping clean sheets and having no more big defeats.
So over 27,000 turned-up today to witness yet another home defeat; we're now just above the relegation zone while Bournemouth top the table and the mighty Brentford are in a play-off position. Ok, still a long way to go and full credit to the aforementioned teams for being where they are; however, from a Leeds point of view it can be summed-up in three words - Not Good Enough.

Match report from my folks was that we were dire, didn't have any confidence, no ability to try and go past someone, always looking for a safe pass... and failing too often.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
