Gary Monk, former Swansea boss, now favourite for the job. Potential to be good, however let's see if there's any truth in the story.
Monk confirmed as the new manager today. As you say, he has the potential to be a decent appointment and I obviously hope he does well but the question is what sort of backing and support will he get from the owner?soad said:
Decent money offered? Or it's the challenge.
The challenge at leeds will be to last the summer. no Leeds manager last two months without a win. Good young manager, did a good job in difficult circumstances at Swansea, was unlucky to lose his job imo. I thought he'd be able to get another job in the EPL or at the very least one of the top clubs in league one.
He has sold himself well short here imho.

Not sure about Nov/Dec, with Cellino's track record I can't see the current manager being there at the end of September. Or the end of August if we keep losing.
Yes, unless results improve I can see Monk being on his way by the end of September; not saying that would be right but history shows that's the way Cellino tends to work. Having said that, it does sound like we've started with two poor performances in the league and that clearly needs to improve; on the first weekend of the season I believe we were the only team in any division not to have a single shot on target....
