Not a great performance or result against Barnsley on Saturday and with both Brighton and Reading winning last night I think we need to do the same against Forest this evening. To be honest it's starting to look difficult for anyone to overhaul Brighton and Newcastle for the automatic promotion places but the play-offs are still a realistic target for a lot of teams; hopefully we'll be in one of those spots come the end of the season but to do that we need to be winning home games like the one tonight!
FFS - looks like Mowatts going to Barnsley. Barnsley! Of all places fking Barnsley. Whats the matter with players? We're in a good position to get into the play off finals & wants to go to a team that, ok, is in the Premier & TBH don't look like being relegated but come on.
Rant over (unless we're gonna sell someone else).

Its worse than I thought. Driving home a guy on the radio mentioned the cup game at the weekend & that we narrowly lost to Barnsley the other week. Penny drops - Barnsley, I was thinking Burnley. WTF is he doing going to Barnsley? Why are they always undisclosed fees too? I'd like to know how much we let him go for.

Guess we've got to trust Monk's judgement but words like disappointing spring to mind; perhaps he wasn't developing in the way some had hoped but as a minimum Mowatt was a good squad player in the Championship IMO. Just hope there's a player or two (including a midfielder) coming in tomorrow as otherwise we've just weakened the squad and potentially compromised our promotion chances....Feels like we're wobbling a little bit at the moment and, having been briefly up to third, we could soon find ourselves in the last of the play-off places with teams like Norwich rediscovering their form and breathing down our necks. Really hadn't expected Huddersfield to hang-in for as long as they have but being honest they now look the most likely to put pressure on the top two; still a lot of points to play for but play-offs at best for us I think....

Didn't think we'd do any better than play offs anyway TBH & will be happy to maintain that. We have a 7 point cushion over Norwich in 7th but we've lost momentum since the Sutton debacle.
I think we've been a bit off the boil ever sine we lost away at Barnsley. However, good to see 3 Yorkshire teams in the play-off places at the moment even if on current form it feels like we're the ones least likely to stay there. Really surprised Huddersfield have kept it going for so long but fair play to them and if anyone's going to challenge Brighton and Newcastle for one of the automatic promotion spots they appear to be the most likely candidates - wouldn't have predicted that before the season started!
How is everybody feeling going into Saturday? Looking like a sell out crowd so let's hope the lads can turn up for this one. My last couple of games were Blackburn (A) and Cardiff (H) and the performances were dire (even though we ground out a victory at Blackburn).
Our intensity and passing especially has taken a nosedive in the last month or so, just really hoping we can pick up a bit of form again going into the last run in. Things are tightening up a bit now and Fulham are looking a threat with those two games in hand. Sheff Wed is a must win game to keep the confidence going.
I'm still pretty confident we will secure a playoff spot. Nothing like a bit of Leeds United induced optimism - been here so many times

Not feeling especially confident for Saturday although Sheff Wed slipped-up at home against Brentford earlier in the week so they're far from unbeatable! The concern for me has been our performances in recent weeks; it's not like we've been unlucky to drop points, we've been dropping them because we haven't deserved better out of matches. With a bit of luck we'll maintain a top six place but to do that we need to get back to the form we were showing prior to the Barnsley game; as you say, teams like Fulham and Norwich are still very much in the play-off mix so we need to get back on track and sooner rather than later.
Not sure I'd describe this weekend as a must win game but it certainly feels like one we mustn't lose!
