It won't happen. These deluded ex players/fans cannot accept that the glory days are past and they don't have the pulling power anymore. Unless they pay silly money for above average players (Pogba) or silly wages for ageing players who are looking for a last big pay day (Ibrawhateverhisnameis)and silly lump sum payments to agents (£35m it is rumoured), they won't get top players wanting to play Thursday night second string Euro comps. Having said that, they played a blinder with Ibrawhateverhisnameis.

It is vital that they get into the Champs League this year as not only will they lose promised sponsor funding but the top kids like Gabriel Jesus will simply regard them as a good team from the olden days (see Liverpool). Kids these days are growing up with City as the modern day successful glamour club, Jesus was 13 when City won the Premier League.

Plus, do you really think that we would sell him to them?

hehe

Never underestimate the pulling power of that blood red shirt, the glorious history and that stadium my friend. wink

Besides if Aguero reeeeeeally wanted to sign for United do you not think he could make it happen (assuming Mourinho wanted him)?

It won't happen but player power is quite something these days, don't you agree?

I've got blue friends that firmly believe United are a spent force now, it's a joke. Deluded doesn't come close. biglaughwink

1) Benezema, Bale, Rodriguez, Tevez (who Fergie begged to stay), Griezmann etc but then again utd weren't really after any of these. wink - Deluded!

2) Aguero to lower his ambitions? Like I said - Deluded!

3) Yes, player power is quite something else, that's why Ronaldo moved to a bigger club. Deluded!

4) United aren't a spent force? - Deluded!

You've got about as much idea of what went on with the speculation surrounding those players as I have, which is to say none. As far as I remember Tevez actually played for us and took the money when City nicked him off us after SAF was a little late offering him a permanent deal. Griezmann who know's, watch this space I guess...

Aguero? Of course I doubt he would sign for us even if we did want him. I'm amazed the likes of him, Silva and Toure have hung around as long as they have, I guess money talks! smile

Ronaldo now there's a player, gave us everything even an extra year and a champions league trophy and moved to his dream club. I'll love him forever more.

You talk about us as though we're done, that's it, had our time in the sun and football's moved on beyond our capabilities. That's just bullst and you know it. biglaugh

You've signed Jesus, well done. We have The God of Manchester...

But wait......"City nicked him off us"?!, I thought the pulling power of "the blood red shirt" was enough to convince a player to play for utd, that was your point - Deluded!

As for Aguro, Silva and Toure.."I guess money talks"! Give over. What money are wooney, ibrawhateverisname is and pogba on? Are they playing just for the blood red shirt? Face it, you now have to sign mercenaries who go to a mediocre club for the money, just like we had to in 2008. Oh how the tables have turned. biglaugh

As for Ronaldo, quite, all players dream for playing for a bigger club especially one in their home country.....hang on a minute, isn't he Portuguese?

Football has moved on but utd have not kept up with the pace, they have regressed, even Spurs are now superior to utd.

"We have The God of Manchester" And who might that be? Pogba, the most expensive flop since Steve Daley and an embarrassing "second coming", ibrawhateverhisnameis who, despite utd being around for longer than he has, decided to take the kings shilling in the twilight of his career? The list is endless.

P.S. I think you mean "The God of Trafford".

Oh you're good, not great just good. rofl

Tevez signed for United first, he did play for us, the red shirt was enough?! He then decided to move to City after his agent (and Tevez) thought he wasn't going to get a big fat fee by signing a permanent for us, but realised he'd made a big mistake after joining City and so moved to a proper club, Juventus.

Aguero, Silva and Toure didn't sign for City's history and legacy that's for sure! They signed for the "project", oh, and millions and millions of dollars. Toure was the highest paid player in world football at the time he signed.

As for Ronnie, who said anything about his home country? Doesn't make Real Madrid any less of a dream club for a boy from Portugal.

God = Zlatan. Did you not see The Commissioner of Football's video message to him and Zlatan's reply?

Pogba = flop, good one, not great just good. hehe

Bravo = ?? rofl

Presumably you are referring to utd when you say:

"Oh you're good, not great just good". rofl

Ferguson was arrogant enough try to call Tevez's bluff thinking he would get him for sixpence if he left it until the last minute before he offered him a permanent contract and bought him. Unfortunately this didn't work and only when Tevez agreed to sign for City and his Ego was duly bruised did he offer him a wedge. Too little too late, he had decided that Sky Blue was preferable than blood red.

"Aguero, Silva and Toure didn't sign for City's history and legacy that's for sure! They signed for the "project", oh, and millions and millions of dollars. Toure was the highest paid player in world football at the time he signed".

Correct, and what exactly is the problem with that, we accept it so why don't you accept that it is what needs to happen at utd? And don't bang on about istry, you lot are beginning to sound like red scousers. Deluded!

Ronaldo still left for a bigger club, the blood red shirt wasn't important.

Ibrawhateverisnameis. No I didn't see the video, my mother always warned me against video nasties. wink

As for the Bravo comment, people in glass houses (Veron).

I think SAF and the club thought contractually they could get Tevez on a Bosman challenging his slave relationship with his agent! Oh well, c'est la vie, we lost a football mercenary and you gained one. smile

I simply don't agree that we are only signing players for the money on offer. Yes, we are a project too since the last 3 years of mediocrity (Moyes FFS), but we are signing talent on the strength of the project and of course our history, you will not agree but we are one of the highest profile clubs in the world. Your obvious bias will not ever change that. To be fair to you lot since you did win a few things I guess it's made things easier to attract talent like De Bruyne for example. However old Pep does have a problem as your squad is ageing and needs a rebuild like ours does. So maybe we're a little ahead of the curve in that respect?

Veron...really? How long ago was that? Good player but wrong club. What did Joe Hart do that was so wrong that has allowed Bravo to take over that number 1 slot? Pep is ruthless make no mistake but made himself look an arse after Bravo started being, well, Bravo.

As for Pogba he's come home now. It's a bonus for him that in the process he's managed to become wealthier than most can ever imagine. After seeing him recently, I think he has the makings of being one of the best midfielders of all time, work yet to do though.

I look forward to the derbies to come, long may they continue.

It was one of those situations where the player saw the opportunity to catch his leg and try to have a foul awarded.

City are so weak at the back. At least Bravo isn't playing.
