Good show by City (and Hart). 3:2 defeat to Real Madrid is not something to be disappointed with (although losing the lead twice is).

No complaints, the better side won on the night. All valuable experience though, not the end of the world.....

That was a great 2nd half, I genuinely felt a bit deflated when Ronaldo scored the winner, you City fans must be feeling sick now.

Manchester United mode/

You took the perfect tactic in my opinion. Defend then counter attack. Playing Madrid at their own game would be suicidal at the Bernabéu. Great showing in my opinion, nothing to be ashamed of.

But you did have a lot of luck. I'm sure the Citeh fans will agree who saw Chelshi vs Barca.

Inexperience in the end and going 5 at the back was just asking for it. Still a better lesson learned now rather than in the knockout stages. Thought you easily held your own.

I thought City played the perfect game really, until the last 5 mins where they let Real have the ball with no pressure, but it's one of those games that you can take the loss IMHO as the performance was there, and got undone by two good goals with deflections. Have to say I thought Joe Hart was a bit hard on himself in the post match interveiws as well, basically blamed himself.

City will get though the group no worries.

Frankly I hope you smash them in the return! yes

Bunch of bloody mercenaries, only there for the cash and the chance to win medals, glory and fame without too much effort and with only 1 real competitor in their league.

Don't worry Jim, the stinging pain of rejection will fade soon. About Christmas.
