Could be good with 55k in the council house stadium. Fans will be looking for excitement in the north west now that Gerrard has retired from not winning the world cup to concentrate on not winning the premier league.

No need to be so bumptious. For us Utd fans there will always be excitement in the NW.

But as a Citeh fan, you probably knew that already, didn't you?

So Viera pulled your U21's off the pitch last night due to racism...as much as I admire the decision (assuming everything as it is reported) will they do it when it really counts i.e. Champs League game?

I shall be watching this thread and I shall be watching you with keen interest as the season develops. Sunshine.

You can email me a picture of your googlies if you like. I find that small gestures like that help the discourse between us and Citeh fans remains amiable as the rivalry escalates.

Now that Motes has departed, the pecker of all Utd fans is well and truly up thumbup

Did anyone see the game last night on Sky? I watched most of the first half and was impressed. Jovatic looks sharp and will be like a new signing and Fernando looks a player - really solid and great technique too. With him Fernandinho and Yaya in the middle we'll boss any team. The youngsters Iheanacho and Zuculini both look ready for some game time and good to see Nastasic back playing again too. I'm really looking forward to the Charity Shield now - the World Cup seems like weeks ago!

I didn't see it but I've been a bit concerned about the relative lack of big name signings. It seems everyone else has been busy and closing the gap.
This looks like its nothing to worry about.

Don't think you need to worry about Liverpool anyway.

Apparently Slippy Me was at it again to give away a goal last night.

Watched the whole match we played really well especially Jovetic.

Considering only 3 of the players will probably be in first choice 11 it was a great performance.

Lampard? Really?

Is this some weird English player quota thing?

Potentially. Perhaps as he has signed for you US sister team might be to get some games in and get fit.

Would presume it's more for the English quota though.

I did wonder if this might happen when he signed for New York City.
We benefit from having a 1sr rate payer available and he benefits from keeping fit until spring and being on Englands radar,
Win win IMO.
