City have arguably the best academy in the world, the facilities are mind boggling, we will reap the full benefit in three or four years hopefully.
We also have a long history of bringing home grown players through, since the days of Mike Doyle, Neil Young etc, it's just that in the last few years with Sheikh Mansour's open chequebook it has been easier to try to buy success.

I do hope so because this has to be the way forward, I think my club Spurs are reaping the rewards this season of bringing good youth to the club & integrating them with the junior players coming through the system. We also have a long history of bringing home grown players through, since the days of Mike Doyle, Neil Young etc, it's just that in the last few years with Sheikh Mansour's open chequebook it has been easier to try to buy success.
Off course you have to have a manager or coach that is prepared to give them the chance of playing in the first team. I've not seen the city training set up but from what i have read it seems to be spot on & Sheikh Mansour should be applauded for making this all happen.

It wasn't exactly a 'must win' game.
Not a "must win" but it was a very much a " very important to win" game.Typical City. We love to do things the hard way, scoring 3 times in the last 10 minutes after a very average first half
From a purely selfish City point of view, the win was even sweeter with Utd losing and getting knocked out
To be fair, it's always been frustrating being a City supporter - there's nothing new in that, and we both go back a long way Wacky
It could be worse though. Imagine being a fan of Chelsea or United at the moment, in fact all the "top teams" are a bit crap at the moment.
On the other hand, imagine following Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and particularly Leicester.
They're having a great time this season
Edited due to consistent incompetence in always getting QPR and Palace mixed up somehow.

Should award him African player of the year every week, obviously spurs him on, first decent shift he has put in all season.
I can see where you are coming from, but he has always had a very lazy loping style, the way he runs about the pitch, and yes, sometimes it seems he is not putting the effort in, but time after time he has saved us with a flash of brilliance.Too many City players have gone missing in games too often this season, not just him. Bellers and Carlos always put 100% effort in whatever people think about them.
I assumed that this was a story about the Etihad at first...
