Arsenal and Spurs will need to throw everything at winning the league this season, as I expect Pep will be bringing in some talent and it's hard to see anyone but City winning once he's there.

If Man Utd really don't fancy Mourinho, who will they go for now?

Red Cafe forum in meltdown whilst the rags argue over the merits of Giggs over LVG.laugh

Should be an interesting summer.

I ended up buying a vintage shirt and had a great time at the game on Wednesday - I'll not comment on the prices of the beer/food though smile . I enjoyed it - I only made a couple of rugby comparisons hehe

Look like you enjoyed it.

I think City will be Pep's greatest challenge yet. At Barcelona he had the world's best players. At Bayern he had a team head and shoulders above all rivals both in terms of quality and spending power. The premiership is a LOT more competitive and I don't think he's going to go straight in and dominate, though my money would be on them to win the leage next year!

Coming from a Red fan City was the only destination Pep was going to manage in the prem. The financial clout, decent squad already there, ex barca folks in the management structure.

If they give him 200 million to spend as well I wouldn't be surprised what happens.

I think all managers get a big wake up call managing in the Prem. Completely different to other Euro leagues.

Just had a look over at Red Cafe. There really is some gnashing of teeth over there.

Pellegrini to Chelsea anyone?

Shame for Pellegrini. Seems one of the good guys.

They wanted Pep and Pellegrini must be near retirement so they had to look to the future.

Great news for City fans. Although I still think Pellegrini is a good manager. Lots of talk on BBC saying Messi, Neymar etc may come but.... They didn't follow him to Bayern so why would this be different?

Good capture for the blues... well done, A cracking manager...... Like some have said, the premier league still is not a walk over and he will find it more challenging than the spanish and german leagues which are not dissimilar to the scottish premier where the dominant teams were celtic and rangers.

He will need to out fox Raneria...
