Penalty was dodgy (no surprise Clattenburg was involved - my Spurs supporting neighbour agreed that (a) he didn't have a good view of it and (b) if he did, he could not give a penalty) and I thought a couple of offsides went against us.
We both agreed a draw was a fair result.
We're only 4 points behind Spurs though (the favourites now, for me), so if they suffer a few injuries and we get more of our lads back, it's not inconceivable that we can catch them. Can't afford any more slip ups though.

It was a dubious penalty, but I like seeing professional footballers being penalised for cowardice, ie turning your back on the ball, your job is to stop the ball coming in to the box, if it hits you in the face etc then you suffer a bit of pain but you have done your job, turning your back just shows you're a coward, any decent manager should fine you if you turn your back on a cross/shot, the Danny Rose block from a shot in the first half showed total commitment, that is how you should defend. I don't support either team it just annoys me watching these guys st themselves from a ball.

Fair enough, but would you not rather a player faced the ball and actually tried to stop the ball potentially going in the goal or box, turning your back means (a) you have no idea where the ball is and (b) you're a coward, just my opinion.ALTO77 said:

The Danny Rose block was a case of him being in the right place at the wrong time, he never intentionally blocked the shot, his piss poor attempt at cheating in the second half showed his true colours.ALTO77 said:

he did block the ball (fairly) so this is a bit of a ridiculous commentCamlet said:
Had Sterling stayed on the ground the penalty wouldn't have been given. It would have been deemed accidental. But Sterling decided to jump so was judged to have deliberately blocked the cross and by turning his back the ball hit his arm. Sorry, it was a penalty.
not sure why you are apologising! It was obviously a penalty because it was given, however in hindsight Clattenberg given the replay would never have given it as it hit Sterlings back and glanced his elbow. Ridiculous decision from a crap referee who cares more about how he looks than how he refs a game
