So you could potentially be ~20 points behind the leaders in second place, but win the league by beating Cardiff in the FA Cup final?
Well, you would have to win all the games first to reach the cup final and then win that one. It would be a great incentive also for the team 20 points ahead to get to the final, keeps the league interesting until the very last game with an outside chance of a surprise change. Just an idea to make theFA cup important for everyone and something in it for everyone, not just a dead-end piece of silverware that seems to be losing it's attractiveness. Linking it to the league makes it important for every team, wether you're in the Champion's League, a relegation position, a promotion position etc. Can you imagine 1st & 2nd place playing each other in the final with 20pts at stake? Now that would be a game.
Just an idea!

Quite possibly the worst idea I have ever heard when it comes to football.Just an idea!
Much easier to reduce the number of teams in the PL to 18 - no one in the PL needs the match day revenue anymore.

While I wouldn't necessarily say it's the worst idea ever it's certainly on the short list
Well, better than all the other boring suggestions on here so far. I discussed this with a few people watching the Man U match this evening and they thought it was a great idea.Silver993tt said:

I think it's fair to say the FA cup is not the big important competition it was in the 1950's and 60's.
The year Manchester United decided not to defend their title in the third round as cup holders in favour of a Far East tour was the year the FA Cup died for me. uk66fastback said:

That's the City you'd expect and what we can be like.
Unfortunately it s not as regular occurrence though
I'm not 100% sure about Sunday.
I'd rather beat Liverpool in the league if if I'm honest. (Although I think given the right mind set we can win both )
For the first time in recent yeas I'm not going to Wemberly, thanks to my Wife who needs a lift to the airport as she's off to Miami for a week with work

Have you sold out your allocation? (genuine question) That's the City you'd expect and what we can be like.

Sold out completely.Where you sat?
However,
One of the advantages of being a disabled wheelchair user (anda member of the disable supporters club) is that it's fairly easy to get tickets, regardless of "loyalty points", at the last minute. And you get an additional "free" careers ticket
Unless your Wife is going to Miami
