hehe

I only tuned in for the penalties but apparently you deserved to win in normal time so fair play. They were a good few saves in the shoot out.

Thanks for stopping the inevitable stty media love in for Klopp and Liverpool if they won.

That would've been a travesty if we'd lost. We'll played City. If you need two penalties scoring you'd bet your house on Aguero and Yaya - never any doubt. Sterling was terrible; I've no idea how he stayed on until the end.

Pathetic.
I couldn't watch it and only heard snatches of commentary thanks to a local internet problem but tbh I feel strangely relieved.
Big chance with Arsenal and Spurs losing, so what do we do?
Get thrashed frown
With West Ham and Utd looking likely to win we'll be lucky to qualify for Europe at all at this rate

Absolutely disgraceful performance, especially with what is at stake. (Top four place)

Will be interesting if we miss out on a Champions league spot....can Pep change his mind?

Current form and Champions League qualification are short term problems, Pep is a long term solution (well, at least three years). Our owners tend to look at the longer term and the bigger picture.

Everything will sort itself out.

Well, it is Saturday so you expect Aston Villa to lose but at least we, eventually, improved our goal difference.

Yes, we made hard work of it (as usual)in the first half. Having an immobile Bony squandering chances didn't help. I know Pellegrini wants to play him and in theory should be automatic second choice but Kelechi is much better even taking into account Bony's lack of fitness, as he showed when he came on.

Kelichi is on a different level to what I've seen Bony perform on at any point for us Blues.
Don't rate him in the slightest.
Raheem was mediocre in cup final and in PL vs Liverpool wasn't exactly inspiring, either.

Very unimpressive, but he was very good in the CL last week.

I can only assume that you mean Kelechi is better than Bony, if not, and I'm not being awkward here but every Blue I've spoken to sees Kelechi as a star in the making and very impressive (if not a little green). His ball skills have been superb on occasion and his tenacity whilst in possession is often reminiscent of Yaya's ability to beat a man. He is like Billy Whizz compared to Bony and moves around in a way that would leave Bony dizzy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Bony it's just that he is not good enough for City, we panic bought him in the January based on his excellent performance in a team where everything centred around him. I hope he proves me wrong but I can't see it. I think that summer will see him shipped out.

But what do I know? I didn't rate Goater at the start!
