On a good day I rate him a bit higher and I think there's real potential there.
Unfortunately his average days far out weigh his good days.
Was always the case at Liverpool tbh - he would nick a goal here and there but generally the game passed him by.....Unfortunately his average days far out weigh his good days.
ps Stu - what are your thoughts on Milner this year - involved in 19 of ours goals - 12 assists, 7 goals

I'm not surprised, he always worked hard. I was sorry to see him go but understood his reasons, so he'll always get a warm welcome from me.I'm sure most people think the same.
We went for glory and spent too much on a few players that weren't worthy of their price tags.
I said before he left and Ra-Ra came, I'd happily keep James and Sterling can stay on Merseyside.
I'd say he had more goals/assists in him over a season than Sterling.
Don't even get me started on Bony, fk me.
Then £100 mil + on two centre backs...
Makes us a laughing stock sometimes.

Never understood why we let him go, always one of our most consistent players, we definitely miss his contribution. Maybe his twitter feed got too controversial.
We didn't let him go, he ran down his contract so that he could move to Liverpool for the following reasons:1) An apparent promise to play in his favoured position.
2) A regular starting place.
3) Had already won all there was to win at City (apart from the Champs League) and that didn't look like happening in his playing career.
4) Securing his financial future with a big sign on fee.
5) The opportunity to move to a big club without moving house.
I can't disagree with any of that and don't blame him one bit, if it was my son I would have told him to do the same. What I was disappointed with though was the nature of his celebration when he recently scored against us. Lacking a bit of class and respect was that.
Moving on to Tuesday, next Tuesday not last Tuesday, the less said about Newcastle the better, to cap off a miserable night they even shut the A1M on the way back just to annoy City fans resulting in an unscheduled trip to Middlesborough and a 3 a.m. return.
I can't help thinking that it might be a blessing in disguise that Yaya was injured yesterday. He had an awful game and was half a yard behind every player on both teams and spends too much time on his backside pretending to be injured until play is stopped. Even when he is not on the floor he is slowing the game down to a pedestrian pace. We can't afford to do this against Real, the showpony will leave him for dead. However, if he plays I would love to be proven wrong, he does have a habit of pulling something out of the hat in big games but against Stoke he just couldn't be bothered. He is a legend but I feel his time has passed.
