Just another bump on the road to eventual success and domination. Pep will sort it out, of that I have no doubt.

These sort of blips don't cause panic or trauma to us Blues, temporary disappointment yes, panic never. We have travelled far rockier roads than this and kept our peckers up all along (York away 1998 for example). It is all part of the fun that following City entails and long may the ups and downs continue!

Those Sky armchair "supporters" who come on having a go warm my heart, it just shows how far we have come and how much pain our recent success must have caused them. Thanks for reminding us how much our success hurts you chaps.

Before this weekend we were two points off second place, after this weekend we are three points and one win off second, hardly a catastrophe. Utd are still below us where they belong and playing on Thursday nights in "Europe", every cloud and all that.laugh

Onwards and upwards Blues.

Oh, and FN2TypeR,we were CRAP......such is life!

Crap today, I'd say, but crap on the whole? Not at all. I know Pep has had a bit of grief of late but you're still fifth and three points off of second, hardly doomed is it? Plus you're squad, whilst good, is a tad ageing in places and not as good as it could be or has been (goalie, seriously, sort it out) he'll get it right IMO, he may not have done a similar sort of building project elsewhere at a top level club but he's hardly a loser is he? Guy is a proven manager - he just needs time.

Although I reckon his forehead gained another worry line earlier this evening hehe

st, I had better go back to being negative about everybody, sorry, I dropped out of character there rofl

I actually think the jury is out on that now. The Premier League is where we truly discover if he is a winner. Previously he's walked into clubs in 2 horse leagues and with unlimited funds.

This time he only has the latter and the worlds best players don't want to come here (ie Ronaldo, Messi etc) so he sups from the same pool of players as Klopp, Poch, Arsene etc. This league has the potential to ruin his reputation unless he really is an outstanding manager.

You both make very valid points and I am sure that Pep would agree with you. However, he came to the Premier League to test himself on the highest profile stage of all. He might not be all conquering in a short period of time, and it would turn into a pretty sterile league if in fact he did. When utd were buying the league every year it was pretty boring for all apart from the utd fans. Now many clubs have money and good managers it is far more uncertain.....and far more entertaining.

Has Pep ever had to worry about sorting out a defence? To me he's always had such a good attacking system that his teams rarely get tested defensively.

I think this years Premier League is shaping up to be the most exciting for years, any one of six teams could win it, although Chelsea are looking very strong.

Too early to rule out City though, IF they put a run together, and Pep swallows his pride.

All the top 6 are capable of beating each other. The problem is that they also look too good for the rest of the league. I don't think Chelsea look better than any other top 6 teams (they've lost 3 times already against them) but they have a big points cushion and I can't see where they are going to drop too many points during the rest of the season. Four 1-0 wins against Palace, Sunderland, WBA and 'boro are hardly the stuff of dominance but that's still 12 points in the bag. On another day they may have been lucky to get half that many points.

All everyone can do is keep winning but definitely Chelsea's to lose at this stage. They have a very easy run in too, against teams that will have nothing to play for or already relegated. And no European games.

For £25k a week, I'll stand between the sticks for your mob. Or, you could use a wheelie bin. I think they're 40 quid on eBay.

It's quality you want, not quantity....smile

Good overall performance, especially first half, but very disappointing to let two points slip like that.

Onwards and upwards.

A somewhat self defeating comment after the wee disagreement in here a week or so ago - it was also made when City were comfortably winning 2-0.

It was probably quiet as most Blues were probably on the way back from the game.....an activity which no doubt is alien to you.

As far as the game is concerned it was hugely entertaining and a little disappointing at the end. I would much rather have that game than a dull and insipid one nil win. A win is very important but people forget that football is a form of entertainment and we pay our money to see just that.

All in all, apart form the obvious, City were superb on Saturday.
