I'm off to the match tomorrow - the first time I've been this season. Hopefully the boys will put a good show on. If not I'll settle for a 1-0 win, especially if Trabelsi or Dunne score the only goal as I got 80-1 at the bookies.

After watching last nights game against Chelsea, I don't know how you Citi fans cope.

In parts, you played well but there's just nothing, nothing at the end of any move. There's not even any promise. Your front two seemed only to be bothered for 25% of the game.

You can normally see where a goal is going to come from in a game but not with Citi.

You're missing something big, a major part of a team. Stuart Pearce must be boiling his pee on an hourly basis.

That's the lot of a City fan - losing so many games just makes it all the sweeter when we do win!

You can't read anything into the Chelsea result - we agreed to lose 0-1 so we didn't do your lot any favours

Saturday's win should be enough to keep us up now and we played okay - making a dozen more chances than the last two games even though it was against a weakened Boro. At least we now seem to have a striker in Empenza who looks hungry for goals and now he's got one and set one up will hopefully bag a few more.

We do need a huge bag of cash for improvement in the summer and if we get one from the mooted takeover I don't think Pearce will still be there to spend it, which is a shame 'cause you've got to love Psycho but his results from the last 2 years have been pretty shocking.

Pearce will go at the end of the season to do his england post full time, but it fears me as to who we will get in.
Wardle will have been bought out, IMO about time too as he hasnt really invested enough the past 2 seasons as he has wanted out.

There is no creativity in midfield at all, Barton is just energy, he has very little flair or 'killer ball' instinct, apparently Ireland according to the players is the most skillful there yet he doesnt show it on the pitch, I think he looks overawes at times.

As for staying up, Well its City, we will either beat everyone or play extremely shit, we are capable of both.

i would give pearce another season. we have gained nothing by chopping and changing over the years and look at the rags. nearly got rid of fergie in 89 after the 5-1 derby defeat and some bad transfer business. my view is that pearce will learn from his mistakes so we will reap the benefit if we stick with him.

rather have pearce than allardyce, jewell or, particularly, coleman any day

Well looks like were safe now with 40 points so what next? Do we stick with Pearce & trust his judgement in the Transfer market or make a change in the summer? Either way we need to spend £££ on a forward, a winger & a midfield playmaker then top 10 would be achievable as we already have a defensive record comparable with top 6.

Suggestions on who we should buy?? I'll start with David Nugent although i'm pretty sure he'll be at Everton next season.

First, I'd like to see Shaun back, he and Mica would make the best right side in the Country. Mpenza is a great find, just need someone to back him up a bit, Samaras isn't ready, Vassell tries hard enough and as for that Tw*t Corradi...I'd gladly pay his airfare so he can F*ck Off back to Italy. I would like to see someone like Harewood or even Bent come in as cover.
Creative Midfielder, thats a toughie the 'rags' look to have monopolised with Smith, Carrick, and the impending Hargreaves saga....I think big Sam will find someone to fill the void upon his arrival, and Pierce, he's already taken the U21 job and won't be around

I agree - worst thing Keegan did was getting rid of the Goat!

I'm coming round to the idea of keeping Pearce - yes he has made some crap decisions/signings this season but is still learning his trade and has pulled us out of the mire with Mpenza on the cheap. Every time we chop and change the manager we take steps backwards so stability wins for me.

Said before and will say again,
If Pearce goes, who is decent enough to take us to the next level with out limited funds?
I cant think of anybody.
Corradi has to go no doubt, Samaras has to follow, Dickov was a complete waste of paperwork, Jordan should never put a Blue shirt on again.
Whats the script with Dystan, from paper reports he's going to Fulham, obviously he doesnt want to acheive anything in football.
The best 2 signings are the 2 new uns, all be it on trial and loan in Mpenza and Ball, but both show something weve lacked all season.
Would love to see Nugent here, but Wardle wont buy him, so hopefully the 'new investors' will get their arses into gear and give us some hope in the market,
Then theres that kid in the reserves Sturridge, he has been looked at by all the clubs in the Premiership, looks too good for reserve team football but he aint getting a sniff, I would give him at least 45 mins and just tell him to go and enjoy himself.
Sidwell from Reading is available on a free, We have got to go for him, even though our Midfeild is starting to come together, Beesley wont stay past may, Sinclair is past Premiership, Hamman hasnt brough anything to us, Dabo looks scared of getting stuck in, and Sun Jihai just 'does a job' and sells a few shirts in his homeland.

My first ever match 6th Jan '68

Forest 0-3 Man City

Just under 40,000 in the ground, Jim Baxter played for Forest, Joe Baker was injured, Peter Grummitt (goalie) broke his arm, Frank Wignall went in goal, Bell, Lee, Summerbee et al played for City, went in the then open Bridgeford End pissed down with rain, happy days

i'd rather muddle along as we are (with a manager, mind), than be bought by a corrupt thai politician with a dodgy human rights record and dodgy motives

the board is a disgrace, especially these hangers on like mackintosh - no one knows where they came from or what it is they are supposed to do but they seem to make a fair bit cash off the back of the club without ever consulting the fans or considering the long term future of the club

To be honest I couldn't care less if we were bought by Hitlers Grandson as long as they are willing to invest some cash into the team & get the right manager!
