I thought Everton seemed to have a plan of diving tonight, Davies who at least got booked, baines for walkers first card, Lewin for walkers second card and a few more by lewin for good measure.
Both sendings off were harsh but Bernardo silva looks like a great player from his brief appearance

Everton were lucky imo.
Both red cards were very harsh and weren't helped by a bit of "gamesmanship" but the City one really had a big effect on the game.
Rooneys goal was well taken (sorry Wacky, I hate that guy and wish his 200th goal had been at another ground!) but it had an element of luck which Silvas strike didn't enjoy only a minute earlier. Up to that point the pressure was really mounting and although Everton were defending well it was only a matter of time before City scored. Even with 10 men we dominated the game.
A well won point at the end of the day though.

Thought you lot look very good, be interesting to see if you can get the upper hand on your neighbours. The game was marred by poor refereeing decisions, but you've got to have some sympathy for them when players act as they do. I think Aguero and Otimendi did their fair share, unfair to point the finger solely at Everton.
If Schneds was a foul then I don't know how defenders are supposed to tackle anymore, he caught him with his trailing leg! Walker's was ridiculous but the camera angle wasn't conclusive, it may be that he caught DCL's chin with his shoulder which would explain the reaction, but not the sending off. All in all we came for a point and got it, but the gulf in class was obvious.
I've edited this as have now seen a video showing that Walker clearly sticks his shoulder into DCL's chin, there was no play acting at all and if my tech skills were better I would post the link, it's pretty conclusive.

It will take a very very good side to stop us this season.
You were in an almost identical situation last season for the first 10 games then it all fell apart. I'd be a little more reserved for a while yet if I were a City fan. However, most of us never take any thing for granted as a City fan.

Having said that, knowing unpredictable City we could easily end up mid table.....
No doubt you're playing some lovely stuff at the moment and Guardiola has found a way to integrate both Jesus and Aguero. Quite how they could contemplate selling Aguero if that was ever in their thinking is beyond me!
Sterner tests will come for both City and United but certainly those two seem very capable of winning the league this season. Veeeery long way to go of course.

Aguero out for 6 weeks after a car crash in Amsterdam. Fractured ribs.
