Wolves have signed the current Portugal World Cup number 1 goalkeeper and Mexico’s back up striker. I sense that there will be a few more signings yet, and a few to go out (Marshall to Norwich or Millwall for eg) that will significantly improve the quality of the squad for next season.
Looking forward to Everton at home for first match, Leicester away for second and Man City at home for third. We will have a good idea where our prospects lie after those 3 opening games.

Not quite as relaxing as I would have liked but a good 3 points for us. Dragged the missus along for the first time in years and she enjoyed herself for the first time watching Wolves. Our midfield is sensational at the moment but I can't see us finishing January without another striker. Still, nice to not just be making up the numbers in the top flight.
Was impressed with you lot on Saturday. I thought your centre half dealt with Lukaku really well and as a team you were well organised and dangerous on the counter. You'll give a few teams a bit of a scare this season, no doubt. But for DDG you could well have taken all 3 points.
Lovely goal to get you something out of the game. I don't think we were great though and if some of our stars had turned up we might have scraped a win but fwiw I think you can cement your place in the prem for next season.

I think the work that Nuno is doing is superb. Changes he makes tend to have an effect, the team looks well drilled and crucially together, even the guys who aren't playing (witness Ruddy's celebration for the first goal on Saturday).
As for players, I don't think anyone is too surprised that Patricio is outstanding and Neves and Moutinho look like probably the best central midfield combination outside the top 6 but I've been really impressed with the way that Coady and especially Docherty have stepped up to life in the top division. They are solid in defence but Docherty has a hell of an engine, I wasn't at the Southampton game but against Burnley he never stopped running but didn't leave the backline exposed either. Coady's range of passing is great for a defender and he always seems to pick a good pass. Not to mention that Otto looks superb as well.
Looking forward to the rest of the season, I'm 40 and I've never seen us compete rather than just participate (occasionally) in the top league. This year we are having a real go. I think some of the talk of qualifying for Europe etc is overdone and slightly annoying but its a conversation I would never have imagined even 3 seasons ago.
Edit to add: I'd like to see something done about the capacity. Every ticket home and away has been sold so far this season. Rumours of a big re-development of the South Bank are exciting and would be superb if they come to pass. Not least as it is full of STH now and I can't get in

I was a STH for 25 years but gave it up when Hoddle took over but still went to lots of games, and renewing the ST for a year when the new stand was built under Morgan's ownership. Still after that I made sure I went to a handful of games every season. As for players, I don't think anyone is too surprised that Patricio is outstanding and Neves and Moutinho look like probably the best central midfield combination outside the top 6 but I've been really impressed with the way that Coady and especially Docherty have stepped up to life in the top division. Thing is, since Nuno has been in charge I haven't been. I've not seen Neves play live.
These last two seasons are the first time I've not been since 1990-ish. I've got no chance of getting a ticket for a saturday afternoon.
I hope redevelopment means keeping it at Molinuex and not somewhere like i54!
You're missing out!
I've had a ST for 18 years now, this is far and away the best side i've seen. I came close to giving it up under that buffoon Dean Saunders, but it's been great watching the rise from league one to where we are now.
Neves can only get better, and Mouthinho is sheer class. It's a delight.

Amen to keeping the ground rather than the kind of soulless bowl that they throw up on st industrial estates nowadays. These last two seasons are the first time I've not been since 1990-ish. I've got no chance of getting a ticket for a saturday afternoon.

Seriously though, you have to get down to see a game. Unbelievable quality and genuinely entertaining.
Maybe if the offside goal had been called correctly it would have been a different story but us making plenty of chances and either misplacing passes or taking the wrong option is getting really old now. Very impressed with Gibbs-White tonight, he looks completely at home in the Prem.
